In my experience, there are two lines. One for preorders, the other for walkups. I’m sure each Apple Store does something similar. And if you secured a time slot, they are not giving your iPhone away, unless lets say you don’t show up for a week or something ridiculous.

If you pre-pay for your phone, you don't have to hurry or be first in line. Your phone will be waiting for you tagged with your name.

2 lines of people at the Apple store - the pre-ordered line is very fast because the walk up line are waiting for any stock changes or people who cancel their orders.

Curious, how do you tell what wave you're part of?

The "wave" is a completely obligatory designation used by members of this forum and doesn't have any real-world application. Wave 1 started movement on the 16th, whereas wave 2 started movement on the 17th.

Ok, it isn't in English but I think this video shows the colors very well especially the White Titanium againt a different White iPhone (@3:12). I'm not sure which phone it is maybe 14 pro? I promise I will stop hyper-focusing on the colors now!

Oh wow he compared the Pacific Blue of the 12 Pro to the Titanium blue! I had not seen that comparison done yet. Thank you for posting this. I’m happy to hyper focus on the colors. I have reasons to like all of them but I wanted blue this time because it’s the pure deep blue I’ve wanted for years on Pro models. Now that it’s here I couldn’t bear to pass it up even though I am also strongly drawn to Natural Titanium.

I agree with that. I would love it if we could just stick with time zones and stop messing up people's sleep schedules by changing the clocks twice a year, but it needs to happen on a national level for it to really make sense.

But after we get that extra hour in the fall. That Sunday morning is the best! I’m fine changing back to DST that same afternoon though. Then the best of both worlds 😉

I got that text from UPS too, but then when I went to the tracker on MyUPS is still shows Friday, so that's just a sadly errant text message. I'm in Wave 2 and still in China anyway!

Noooo the crack gives it character and some boot leg shop won't be original parts. Savior that beauty as is. Wish I had my original 4GB iPhone on Cingular damn

I also prefer store pickups -- I have 2 stores within a 4 mile radius, but finding parking at both locations is an absolute nightmare. This is why I opt for delivery.

I trade mine in, so I prefer being able to use my new phone for a couple of days before I decided my old phone is ready to be erased.
