Flight Tracking Update - 12:45PM CDT

Our Inbound Flight

Our inbound plane has finally arrived. Expect scans to start in about an hour. They may not update quickly though. I'm sure the ground crew is busy loading cargo and fueling (if needed). This process should take about 2 hours.

The next flight is expected to be as follows:

UPS175 | N611UP | CGO-ICN | Estimated | Departure: 4:00AM CST | Arrival: 6:45AM KST

This puts that departure around 3PM CDT/4PM EDT. Similar to the inbound flight, this flight will not appear until it is airborne and will not have a destination listed. You can keep refreshing this page when the time comes. Also keep in in mind that the tracking coverage in China is not great. It may be 45 minutes before the flight populates on FlightAware.

The following flight from Seoul to Anchorage has been populated. That flight is estimated with the following:

UPS175 | N611UP | CGO-ICN | Scheduled | Departure: 8:45AM CST | Arrival: 11:30PM AKDT

You can track that flight here.

I'd expect the ANC-SDF leg to populate sometime this evening.

Oh wow he compared the Pacific Blue of the 12 Pro to the Titanium blue! I had not seen that comparison done yet. Thank you for posting this. I’m happy to hyper focus on the colors. I have reasons to like all of them but I wanted blue this time because it’s the pure deep blue I’ve wanted for years on Pro models. Now that it’s here I couldn’t bear to pass it up even though I am also strongly drawn to Natural Titanium.
Thanks for posting this! Best look of the White Titanium I’ve seen yet. I’m awaiting updates on the wave one shipment on my 256 15 Pro in White Titanium. Most excited I’ve been for an iPhone release in a long time. Good luck with your deliveries and iOS updates everyone!

Mood before iOS 17 dropped.
Actually I just realized on this ancient phone that my family let me borrow until my 15 arrives that it doesn't get iOS 17. 😅 I had sold my 14, but then Verizon locked my backup phone when I switched my number to it, which they aren't supposed to do. I had a Verizon Business account recently that I've had for years, which Apple informed me was why their website wouldn't let me pre-order with my Apple Card. So then I was at T-Mobile switching my number and that's when I found out they SIM-locked my phone. So my number was already switched to T-Mobile, but my phone was locked to Verizon. So my family let me borrow an old iPhone so I could switch and then pre-order the 15. I was on the phone with Verizon support for 5 hours WHILE at T-Mobile and nobody would unlock the phone. So I'm literally never going to go back to Verizon again.

But the good news is when I went to pre-order again with my Apple Card and the T-Mobile carrier option, it went through immediately.

Verizon tech support is apparently operated by monkeys.

If I recall correctly, scans usually start appearing ~ half an hour after takeoff.

My mom is planning to make the jump from Verizon to T-Mobile this year (later in the year once the 15 comes back into stock). I will have to keep this in mind, since I'm sure my stepdad's phone will be sim locked like this. I really can't stand this carrier BS. All you do is upset customers and ensure that they will never trust you again. It isn't actually a successful retention model.

When I was living in Japan (albeit 15 years ago), the carriers would ensure retention by literally lowering the prices for their customers for every year they stayed with the carrier. So, the discount would just grow over time. Genius idea since it's cheaper to keep a customer than attract a new one.

Lol-live look at Verizon

watchOS 10 is my favorite version of watchOS since watchOS 4 (watchOS 6 was good, too, but something about 4... I don't know, that was a perfect update in my opinion). I have 0 complaints except the atrocious battery life (but that's more of a my watch issue to be honest)
I've noticed that the Apple Watch's battery will get worse and worse with each update. But if you do a wipe and restore, it seems to fix the battery issue. So what I typically do is wipe and restore after a couple updates.

RIP iPhone X - I will always remember having to correct people calling it the iPhone "x" not the iPhone "ten" 🤣

I will also remember spotting someone using it after the announcement while I was riding back from an appointment on BART in San Francisco and lining up at the Union Square Apple Store to get my phone on launch day :D
I keep calling Twitter “Ten” when I’m not calling it simply “Twitter”. I’m not sure what the name is actually supposed to be. I didn’t care enough to read up on it.
