We are getting closer to South Korea. :)

My totally uninformed guess is that there are pallets or whatever they call those large containers they put the cargo on in airplanes. And the entire container is scanned at once (which has a list of everything in the container correlated with it -- so they don't scan each iPhone box individually).

And maybe some container(s) got scanned first and another container(s) got scanned after those were loaded. Hence the separate times.

Just guessing.
You are pretty much spot on with your description. The pallets are called PMC's or "cookie sheets" and enclosed containers are known as ULD's. You are right about bulk scans. We at FedEx call it a CONS scan, short for consolidated.

Has anyone pre-signed/authorized release for delivery of their new iPhones? I Just want to be sure it's delivered with no hiccups since I'd like to have it before going out of town the following week. I live in a building with controlled access and UPS has been pretty good about delivering here but I'm still a bit wary. UPS has a fob that lets them get into the building but I'm not sure they'd come all the way up to my floor to deliver it right to my door. UPS did last year for the 14 Pro but my friend had that route so he came directly to my door.
Not me. I wouldn't want to allow UPS to no longer be liable if they lose my phone. A replacement wouldn't be available until November at this rate. I'de rather take the hit on a later pickup or delivery than have it lost or worse.

I am New to iPhone. How long is the cable that comes with the phone?

Thanks

1 meter long USB-C to USB-C cable. Keep in mind a charging brick is NOT included in the box. You'll want an approximate 30 watt charging brick to get the fastest charging possible. Apple sells one, if you want a third party alternative I really recommend Anker, they make some of the most reliable third party chargers out there.

Hey that was right! Flight landed and my status updated too! Where do you think it'll go next? Louisville?

Yes! Next Destination is going to be Louisville, Kentucky for you. (As long it's in the USA) Happy and safe travels :)
If your phone is Canada bound, it will start adding some confusion on this particular thread. From your link of UPS 81, the next stop is Ontario, California - so you may go through there, or deplane and get loaded onto a different flight.

OK - I see there was a 03:55 Departure scan, too - so 40 minutes ahead. Are there two flights? or same plane? Wave 1.5 for the 4:34 departures?
Mine was 3:55 AM but it was replaced with an update to 4:34 AM on UPS. The AfterShip app shows both the 3:55 and 4:34. 3:55 upated shows as On the way and 4:34 AM as Final status for location.

Actual takeoff shows as 4:36 AM.

@julit0 is correct. Thank you for clarifying that.
