I also joined this site just to rant about my experience with my first pre-ordering of a phone from T-Mobile. I pre-ordered the MG Pro Max 64 on the 18th. I currently have a 7+ 30GB and have have only used 22GB in 3+ years due to cloud services like google photos etc so I figured 64 is more than enough. I have an est shipping date of 10/09 - 10/25 which hasn't budged since placing my order. On the official launch date of the 20th, I went into 4 different T-Mo's here in Chicago to see if I could just pick one up and cancel my order and ALL 4 locations told me they didn't even receive the pro models. Are you kidding me?! There was only one location that did have them, in downtown, and by the time I got there at 9AM they sold out of every Pro model in every capacity. I have tons of friends who have Verizon and ATT and all of them were able to pick up the pro models here in Chicago in their local carrier stores. Why didn't T-mo send their local Chicago stores any Pro models like Verizon and ATT? This is mind blowing to me. I still haven't been charged, just the same pre-order screen with my total cost and est shipping date in October. Customer service say's I will be charged right before the device ships. The thought of having to wait an entire month for a device I pre-ordered enrages me. I wish T-mo would get more shipments in faster so I don't have to wait possibly until 10/25 for my phone. The moment I get my phone I'm canceling and going with a different company. T-mo not supplying their local stores with Pro models on RELEASE day lets me know their company is being ran by a 3 year old somewhere. I'm pissed. Rant over. I feel slightly better now lol.

While I’m a little upset as well for having to wait so long for my order, I think that the appropriate question should be ‘why doesn’t Apple send more units to T-Mobile?’ If T-Mobile was able to get more units in the stores, I can’t imagine that they wouldn’t do so to get more sales. Unfortunately, it’s been this way consistently for a few years.

As a matter of fact, while I’ve seen that Apple has had plenty of stock for sim free phones in the configuration that I want, they don’t have the T-Mobile variant. I haven’t checked for the other carriers at the Apple store but I’m leaning towards this whole thing being more an Apple problem than T-Mobile.

But, I also wouldn’t leave T-Mobile just because of not being able to purchase a phone. I just feel like it is what it is at this point. I don’t need a new phone. My 8+ works perfectly fine.

There frequently is a wait each year. Patience is not quite a virtue, but you'll sleep easier.

It'll arrive when it arrives, and not a second sooner.

Perhaps I will call and complain to see if I can get a credit, if not it’s no biggie, they already screwed me over- and by the looks of this post, hundreds if not thousands of their customers lol. The fact that they haven’t come out with a single tweet, fb post, or bulletin on their website to apologize or communicate that they sabotaged their release still makes me mad lol.

What’s Pathetic is that last year I purchased my 512gb XS MAX in a T mobile store... this year they’re not even carrying the 512’s in store nor are they carrying the Pros allegedly. Just got off the phone with T Mobile same spill back ordered, our warehouse is empty... but we should get a shipment before the 15th etc.. The rep admitted that the same thing happened to him last year with the XR. So I believe it’s not Apple at fault T mobile sends Apple estimates based on a number of factors and Apple sends the phones out. Someone at T Mobile screwed the pooch on this one.

My anxiety is through the roof! I have my best friend's wedding the weekend of 10/12, then I'll be on vacation right after that. I know my estimated ship date is 10/2 - 10/8, and we're barely into that time frame, but I'm so nervous it might get delayed. I would say ordering on 9/13 preorder day (even if it was in the afternoon) that it's a bit tedious to wait 18 days.

I ordered on 9/16 and am anxious too, if this was the X and 7 launch with my phone being shipped out week before the estimate, it would be out today and ready for me tomorrow. Also I have a party to attend on the 12th as well and want to desperately try Night Mode! This launch might be worse than the iPhone 7 launch now that people with EST’s up to tomorrow have not received a single device.

I preordered on the 13th too and the idea of a 3 week wait is lightweight ridiculous. The lack of movement makes me nervous that the 10/2-8 ship date is gonna be delayed ?

Now I’m getting antsy, today better be the day you guys get your phones shipped out, considering calling T-Mo soon to hopefully get an explanation of why they aren’t getting any phones or maybe even holding them till some mass shipment to fulfill late pre-orders.

I just joined to vent and relate with you all. My story: Trading in an Iphone 7. Ordered Purple 128gb 11 on 9/15 and got estimated ship date of 10/2-10/8. No change or charge yet. Just chatted a Tmobile rep and they said not many (read: no) phones are shipping earlier than the estimate. They reiterated (I've asked before), that they have no control over how much or when they receive shipments from Apple, that Apple purposely limits the stock to create higher demand/interest, and that it happens every year, and that this tactic is very successful.

It's upsetting to me because this just alienates the ones who actually wanted the phone enough to pre-order. It makes them (or me at least), not want to deal with this again. If I were just a regular tmobile customer without a 7 or 8 to trade in, would've just went to the Apple Store. They've got plenty.

Ah ****. There it is.

Literally the only option at this point is to shell out full price for an unlocked iPhone of your choice and cancel your order. My local Apple Store has tons of SIM-free Midnight Green 64GB models to pick up in-store.

Let’s make a pact to avoid putting ourselves through this next year, folks. We’ll revisit this thread as a reminder, right after the iPhone 12 announcement.

That’s a good point; the supply issue isn’t T-Mobile’s fault. But they do have a habit of “guaranteeing” that people will have their preordered device on launch day when they’re rarely able to deliver on that promise. This goes back to the iPhone 6 for me. Compared to other carriers, their preorder game—be it their messaging or working more closely with Apple— needs way too much of an overhaul.

Highly considering the iPhone Upgrade Program and just dealing with Apple directly for future preorders.

I fell into a deep hole of preorder forums here and on Reddit. It looks like T-Mobile received a lower shipment of iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max compared to other carriers. I'm seeing notices of someone on AT&T who ordered a 64GB Midnight Green Pro Max on 9/27 and it is preparing to ship today. Even someone who ordered a 256GB Midnight Green Pro Max last night at 7pm and they show a 10/2 delivery date. That's insane! Sorry to even post if it angers anyone - I had to get to the bottom of it and misery loves company.

I know AT&T was always the first carrier with iPhone exclusives before Apple ended up backing away and shared the love with other carriers, but it's still disheartening to see. I wish T-Mobile fought to at least receive shipments worthy of the demand their customers have for the phones. Especially when they're always touting how much they're doing for us. I don't know what exactly goes into the shipments or how they decide on who gets what but.. wish it were a more fair (and FASTER) process.

my problem was just strictly on ups fault someone there stole it or “lost” it but if they would of identified the problem earlier I could of re ordered it sooner rather than 4 days later and probably would of gotten in on an earlier estimated ship time instead of oct 15 to October 29th. But really sucks should of had it on 20th as it did arrive and was scanned twice at my local ups hub on the 20th when it arrived and when it was supposedly out on the truck for delivery. I kept the reorder live and ordered a note 10 plus to use for 14 days and then return it it’s actually a nice phone but having an Apple Watch and iPad I’m needing my 11 pro max ASAP.

two r/TMobile thread members said their Midnight Green 11 Pro Max's 64GB where charged yesterday when they ordered on 9/13 with EST's of 10/2-10/08.

it's giving me one form of hope but really means that the estimated shipping dates ARE real this year.
