Which iPhone 15 variant will you be pre-ordering?

The iPhone 15 Pro Max 256, Blue Titanium that I pre-ordered through Cellular Sales on Sept 16th, they insisted 16th for some stupid reason I don't know why, was supposed to be delivered to me today never showed any movement in the app, well apparently that is because it hasn't even been shipped yet. To say I am irate is a huge understatement and the only reason I have not cancelled the order and my account is because I have a Verizon credit card and use it a lot, it's rewards pay a portion of my phone bill each month. No one can tell me why this has happened/ is happening. First this morning Verizon assured me my phone would be delivered to Cellular Sales today, when I chatted with them later I was told that before it was shipped I would receive an email. My plan for the moment it to wait until Cellular sales has another, yes another, they have had 2 in their store for sale in the last 2 days that one of their salespersons told me they couldn't sell to me unless I had cancelled the order for the other one first. So now the next one that comes in they will hold, or so they say, and call me and I will go down there and cancel the other order from their store and then buy the one they get in. What a PIA. The rude PIA who works for Verizon had the audacity to tell me this was a very popular phone and it was first come first served, and really sounded like it would still be weeks or months before I got my phone. I can't tell you how angry and frustrated I am, I am old and and have health problems that prevent me from driving so I can't go anywhere to get another one without having to get someone to take me. I've been a loyal customer for 23 years, longer than that if you add the years with Air Touch before Verizon bought them.
That’s sucks and I hope this can be resolved for you.

I hope they’re able to get it resolved for you soon! Sounds like the pre-ordering has been very hit and miss this year with how popular the Max has been. I may find myself in the same boat as you here in about a week, lol.

I've just finished talking with the person at Cellular Sales who made my pre-order and he explained a lot, I guess most of the blame goes on Apple and of course the jerk at verizon who has no business in customer service. I really can't cancel this order and then just buy one out of the store because I am locked into a really good promotion for my current phone, So waiting it out is best. :( Verizon really needs to work on their app and web site though.

I hope so too and I really hope that yours goes smoother than this one. The real problem is if you cancel the order you lose the promotion on the trade in so we are stuck waiting.
That and the crappy app that doesn't show things correctly.

That sucks. So you pretty much have to wait it out. That is so frustating.

The app is really bad, lol. First time ordering through Verizon directly this year, will probably be the last. I’ve always just been able to walk in on launch day and buy it at the store, but that was with the regular pro and not the max. When I pre-ordered on the 19th, it says delivery by 10/6, but I’ve gotten absolutely no updates, and like you, nothing shows on the app so you have no idea of where your order actually stands. Like I’ve said previously in this thread, I’m going to give it until the 6th since that’s what it said originally, but if I hear nothing by then definitely going to call them up. Keep us posted with yours as well!
 
not sure if the right thread but is it true that you can track the shipment even without the actual tracking number? just order # and replacing the last 2 digits with a "W"? for verizon order that's shipping via UPS.

I’m not sure but another option is if you have a UPS MyChoice account, you should be able to look at any deliveries that have been assigned a shipping label.
 
VZ already credited my account and paid off the old phone. I returned it to UPS on launch day. Everything went well this year.

Just to add a data point for those with a 10/6 delivery date, my order on 9/17 due on 10/6 had its shipping label created earlier this morning. Seems it will come a few days early assuming the 2 day shipping is on schedule.

So mine , ordered on 9/16 with a delivery, not shipping, delivery date of 9/29 now with a shipping date of 10/13 will be delivered I wonder how much later than yours ordered after mine. I removed the part that was of concern, I am not the least bit suicidal I am old and ill and get tired of fighting at times. The way things are going in this world right now I often feel that I don't want to see how much worse it will get.

I feel like the date your ordered doesn’t even matter anymore and it’s just completely random. I know people who ordered theirs after mine who have gotten theirs in now, and others who ordered before me who are still waiting. Who knows at this point, lol.
 
I’m nervous now because I used Apple Pay with my Apple Card in the Verizon app. I have a pending charge from Verizon from that day but it never cleared. I’m hearing horror stories over on Reddit about people who used Apple Pay and it didn’t go through when it was time to ship. Ugh hope this works out for me. The people that had problems also said their dates were changed because they couldn’t properly update their payment info. Hopefully this concern is rare and overblown but now I’m super nervous when they go to ship it won’t work. 😐

Yep *raises hand* Still waiting for my PM due to Verizon accidentally cancelling my order on the 5th time due to a system glitch. Like I said, my 13 mini will get me through the next two weeks.. If it doesn't ship on the 13th or before that. I'm gonna take an Uber and walk into my Verizon store and pick my phone up there.

I didn't use Apple Pay and Verizon still claimed it didn't go through when my 15 PM was supposed to be delivered on 9/22.

Good times. Mine was supposed to ship on the 29th which was yesterday and nothing. You’d think with all the years of doing this Apple and Verizon would have their game together but it seems like this year is like the old days where you had to camp if you wanted one. I really thought we were past those days. When I preordered my 13 PM blue I got it on launch day even though it they originally said early October. I’ll keep ya updated and I’m sure you’ll do the same. Hopefully we get some movement this weekend. 🤬😁

More like Verizon didn't have their act together. Before this year, I always went with buying online on apple.com. I also went to my local Apple Store in person to buy my previous iPhones. And my experiences in person was mostly fine.

My ETA still says 10/13 so we will see.

At least you have an ETA showing lol. The only thing I have is my email from 9/19 pre-order saying delivered by 10/6. Haven’t gotten anything since then and nothing shows on the Verizon site. The app is so bad.

Go to Verizon website on safari. Look under “my devices” then “my orders”. Anything there for you ?
 
I have a Question for this group, figured this group may answer this. I have been with Verizon since long before it was Verizon. I do get a new phone every year but for the past 4 years have purchased direct from Apple, since I was not wanting to play the games Verizon wants to do to get trade in. At any rate I hate having to pay that stupide $35.00 fee and they did absolutely nothing. Has anyone been successful in getting Verizon to waive the fee?? What did you say to them to get them to waive it. The Plan I am on is Welcome Unlimited. Thanks for any advise.

Fight hard to get that $35 fee waived. That I and my family did for this (fifth try) order I'm on. We got them to waive the fee.

All I can say is that Verizon mishandled their pre-order promotion really badly this year.

Negative, this is all I’ve been getting from the beginning:

So our situation is a little different than most probably on here. We still owe on our old devices, but we know the manager personally at the store we ordered ours from. He set them to go directly to the store, and said that we can pay off the old devices and upgrade all in the same shot, so that’s what we are planning to do once the Max comes in. My wife ordered a regular 15 which we got an email and tracking on that confirmed it’s already there and ready to be picked up, but there has been nothing at all on the pro max, just that in the email that remaining items will be shipped once available. So I wonder if because of how we did it, that’s why we’re not getting any notifications at all, or if something got borked along the way.
