Which iPhone 15 variant will you be pre-ordering?

Do you remember what you said to them to get them to do it? I take it you did it verbally and not through their chat feature.
Correct. We handled our order through the phone why do you think they screwed up my order five times? a relative of mine just happened to be a Verizon retiree that worked for Verizon for 27 years even prior to a time when Verizon wasn't even called Verizon at the time. She was stern with them and explained what they did wrong to them even they had to throw in a charger and she went through few representatives before they could admit straight up that it was their systems that was being overloaded due to people signing up for the preorder promotion. Prior to the last representative, they blamed the glitch on our credit card company. Likewise; the CC company blamed it on Verizon. That was when my relative asked for that one last rep, and the rep processed my order straight up without any issue.

So our situation is a little different than most probably on here. We still owe on our old devices, but we know the manager personally at the store we ordered ours from. He set them to go directly to the store, and said that we can pay off the old devices and upgrade all in the same shot, so that’s what we are planning to do once the Max comes in. My wife ordered a regular 15 which we got an email and tracking on that confirmed it’s already there and ready to be picked up, but there has been nothing at all on the pro max, just that in the email that remaining items will be shipped once available. So I wonder if because of how we did it, that’s why we’re not getting any notifications at all, or if something got borked along the way.

If you call 611 does it mention any pending orders ? Youre right this is a strange unique situation. Wish you could get more concrete info.

I haven’t called 611 but have used the chat and it said no pre-orders show on my account. I gotta think it’s due to having not actually paid off the devices yet until it arrives and we trade it in. If by 10/6 nothing I’ll call.

And remember in person might be better because store sales people will see how you exactly feel.

The only reason I haven’t investigated further is because the Verizon manager we know knows what he’s doing and I have full trust he did everything correct, otherwise I would have definitely already looked further into it. And like I said, my wife’s phone was already shipped so I’m just chalking it up to how we’re doing everything.

Yeah so did the last several reps we talked with over the phone. All of them claimed they didn't do anything wrong until the last one who DID fess up and said "We bad. It's a system glitch and we're working on that now." So I would be careful when believing a Verizon employee who claims he or she didn't do anything wrong if I were you.

This is why I keep incessantly checking my order status because if the payment fails I want to update it ASAP. I just don’t trust them or their systems atm. I had an apple order but I cancelled because Verizon gave me a better loyalty deal and apples shipping time was November 6th but Verizon claimed the 29th of this month. Yeah right. Should’ve known better

I haven’t even spoken to anyone except him the day I pre-ordered. Like I said, my wife’s already shipped and they were placed on the same order (we’re going in to upgrade together once mine is in) so if there was an issue when ordered you’d figure it would affect both, but who knows. We will find out soon enough.

I don't trust them either, but like I said 2 pages ago, crime skyrocketing in my area forced me to pivot away from my usual preference of shopping at the Apple Store. If my phone doesn't ship on the 13th, I might either go to a Verizon store or take the risk and going to the mall to get my 15 PM, I have never seen this MUCH hassle. When I got 13 mini. I had a tiny hassle but not on the same scale as this one.

Yup, all we have to do is wait until our respective ship dates then wait and see what happens next.

Not me. Why go extreme with storage when I can just hook an external storage up to it?

Adding a data point. I had an online order and the trade in device for it was supposed to be shipped through UPS. I was able to trade it in at the store today.
Thanks for that tip. If my 15PM doesn't ship, I'll do the trade in at my local Verizon store.
 
Any updates from Verizon today for those still waiting for a delivery?
the middle screen of my 11PM has permanent swipe marks now due to constant refresh between my UPS account and Verizon.. I ordered mine on the 19th 256gb 15PM NTi with schedule delivery 10/6 but no movement other than "Your order is confirmed. Delivery date will be updated soon."

Basically where I’m at and ordered on the 19th as well. Fingers crossed we hear something soon!

Same here. Even though they originally promised the 29th when I placed it.

Hoping for movement tonight or this week.

If it doesn't ship on the 13th or before that, I'm gonna take that order from the website/app and get an Uber over to a Verizon store and they will see how annoyed I look right now. And I know they will have to give me the PM right there in the store.
 
I’m optimistic. I see people posting everywhere that theirs are coming in earlier than expected so I’m still choosing to believe that Verizon will surprise me by end of week, lol.
 
Only reason I ordered through verizon directly vs apple is that my loyalty offer with vzw is that they value my 11PM for $1K vs $830 so there's that... I think that $170/36mos comes out to almost $4.8/mo x 36mos. The way I look at it is that I'm gonna stay with them for the foreseeable future anyway so might as well milk it for what it's worth.

At this point it's not about the $$ anymore but principle... 😂😂😂

but we'll see on 10/6.. 😂😂

The latest update to mine, shows pre-ordered 9/16, delivery date 9/29, ship date 10/13. Really that it what is says, and in that order, so your guess is as good as mine.
 
Ordered 2 nos of 15 PM 256 GB blue and 2 nos of 15 PM 256 GB white at Verizon Costco on 09/15 with estimated delivery date as 09/29.

However, the order status was just showing as ordered with estimated delivery date as 09/29.

That was the case even on 09/28.
Then called verizon customer care regarding no change in order status and they replied that due to some issues our porting from other network to verizon failed and asked us to cancel the order ans place it again.

Then went to verizon in 09/28 and cancelled and placed the order again and we got estimated ship date as 10/20 for Blue 15 PM 256 GB and 11/20 for White 15 PM 256 GB

But luckily, Verizon shipped out whole order on 09/29 and got them delivered today.
