Is the iPhone bought under the Verizon installment plan unlocked if bought directly through Apple? I know Verizon does 60 days locked usually if bought through their store.
Thanks for the confirmation! That's what I figured.Yes, unlocked. Only AT&T phones bought through the Apple Store on an AT&T installment plan are locked.
In the past seen orders get bump up. keep fingers cross.
When do Verizon normally ship first time ordering with them?
Yea, I have the same issue.Anyone else have their order "on hold" to accept more disclosures, and when you do that, it still says on hold? Not sure if it just needs time to update or if there is a problem.
wondering if anyone doing trade in over 36 month credit
Same here, was able to log in to Verizon and had the order ready to go in minutes. Kept the window open while I tried for 15 minutes to order via Apple and it just kept giving me errors. When I finally got into Apple the delivery date had slipped to Mid Oct so I just processed my open window in Verizon and delivery is set for 9/22. What a damn hassle for no reason…I read a few pages back that ordering from Apple.com would be easier, so I tried that. Nothing but errors. It kept telling me that the trade-in option was not available, etc by the time it was sorted out, the delivery date was already pushed into October. I logged onto my Verizon account and got it taken care of.

This is what I don’t understand when every craps on the 36 month bill payment. If you keep it the full 36 months it’s a crazy trade in value. If you end up trading in 24 months from now, you lose the last 12 months of bill credits. That means Verizon still paid you $554 for a phone that Apple was only offering $250. I don’t see why people believe you are getting ripped off. Of course I would prefer the credits over 24 months, but $554 is still a good deal compared to the crazy deal of $830 for a 4 year old phone…Traded in my paid off iPhone 11 Pro 256 GB for the iPhone 15 Pro 512 GB. I accepted the $830 credit and got down to $14 payments over 36 months. I haven't upgraded my phone in 4 years so 36 months should be no problem for me. I also think $830 is a pretty good deal for an iPhone 11 Pro. The Apple site only offered me $250.
My post didn’t age well 🤣Verizon started the whole 36 payments instead of 24 payments last year. I upgrade annually. The only issue was due to the lower payments per month I had not paid off the 50% of the device required to upgrade so as part of the transaction this morning I had to pay about $200 per phone I upgraded to get to the 50% (I get my wife and I a new iPhone every year... I'm nuts). Not really any different than before because I've been paying LOWER payments as a result of the 36 month plan per month, so it all balances out the same in the end.
I agree with this. We keep our phones 3+ years unless my husband gets another one to spark/smoke so the 36 month bill credits is fine. Just makes it a bit trickier when we pass the parent phones down to the kids and we have to "swap device" after they arrive to get the right lines on the right phones. But we've done it before without too much hassle. It seems like anything older than 4 years gets practically nothing for trade in toward the newest model but 3-4 years has been getting the full trade in value which is amazing. This is what I don’t understand when every craps on the 36 month bill payment.
