OK, so the transcript seems to be related to the siri language. I set mine to US and I got the transcripts whilst being on O2. Changed it back to UK and I've not had any voicemails get the transcripts. Going to try US again later and see if it starts working again
Has anyone found any reports of what Apple plans on supporting here? Is it limited to the current devices with no plans to support the older devices?
The fact that Apple keeps listing the supported models under "Known Issues" gives me a shred of hope that this limitation is temporary (much like wifi calling was last year).Release notes say 6s, 6s+ and SE with Siri set to US or Canadian English
Edit: I guess you were asking what will be supported in future. No-one outside apple knows I think.
People don't love me I guess. In any case hooray for usI'm in Fido and mine started working lat week.
6SPhone model?

As far as I recall, nothing was said during WWDC that gave the impression that this feature was limited to phones of a certain age or specification. That omission, along with the fact that this has shown up in most of the Dev Notes (I don't have access to them all the way back to the first beta) as a "Known issue" is what leads me to believe that the intention is for this to be on more devices than simply the 6s, 6s+ and SE. But, obviously, I don't know for sure. That was really the only reason I asked, either poorly worded documentation or it's limited to newer devices temporarily. I'm completely ok if they just say it upfront, I do understand they need features to drive new sales.
Yeah I was just curious if something had been said previously about it (its possible I missed it during WWDC).
Appreciate the response either way... I guess it's a wait and see game still but I do feel the same way you do about it.As far as I recall, nothing was said during WWDC that gave the impression that this feature was limited to phones of a certain age or specification. Anyone been able to get this work thats running the GM of developer or public beta now ? Still don't see this on 6 or 6s with AT&T. Thanks
How confident are you that we'll see it on 6 and below? I've seen nothing from Apple one way or the other. My hope is that because they keep calling it out as a beta and listing the phones on which it works now that they will extend this to other phones, too.You won't see it on a 6 (not yet at least). It's 6s, 6s+ and SE only for now. It ought to work on your 6s on AT&T though so I think you can only try/verify the following: -
- Do you have visual voicemail enabled on your account? Does it work?
- Some people reported that resetting their mailbox (by calling their provider) caused it to kick in
Other than that, not sure what to suggest. It started working for me on SE/T-Mobile US a couple of betas ago

I'm not at all confident we'll see that, I just didn't want to say for sure it's not coming because I honestly don't know. I'm guessing there's some DSP/co-processor in the SE and 6s devices that Apple deem makes this suitably inexpensive to do in the background but, again, I don't know that for sure.
Intuitively it doesn't seem like anything that couldn't be done on a 6 or even a 5s but intuition buys you nothing.
Thanks, yes 6s still not working even though VVM is working without issue and language set to English. Not sure why some are working and some aren't unless its a staggered rollout but would have expected to see something stating that. Agree with you on the 6 & 5s, would have expected this to be a feature across the board but that wouldn't sell new devices
Although the notes haven't been changed in some time. They still even refer to beta in their text.GM notes still seem to list the feature as 'Beta' and only supported on 6s, 6s Plus and SE.
- Voicemail transcription (beta) is available on iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and iPhone SE with Siri language set to English (United States or Canada).

[doublepost=1473592883][/doublepost]Is the transcription on voicemails working for you yet? I'm also EE and it's not :-(I'm on EE - not working for me. I installed PB on Friday.
I haven't tried resetting Visual Voicemail or anything though as the phone is my business one and don't want to 'miss' or lose anything. :/
I think it works on any VV carrier as long as the Siri language is set to US or Canada. Might set mine to Canadian English as it's the closest to British English out the two, ha![doublepost=1473592883][/doublepost]

Well I'm on EE and have an iPhone 6s Plus, have visual voicemail activated and it's not working for me?EE and O2 support it.
