I wonder at what point in the presentation they will make the announcement :)

It was towards the end on WWDC20 when they announced the move to Apple Silicon wasn't it?

I have the patience of a goldfish.
I would think it would be towards the end. My total random guess at keynote order:

iOS -> watchOS -> tvOS (homeOS?) -> iPadOS -> macOS -> MBP

Where’s there’s smoke there’s fire. If it doesn’t come during WWDC, it must be coming very soon. Maybe a surprise event in July or August. The battery information leaking tells us these things are at least far along enough for apple to have to register those specs with the government. Not to mention the leaked schematics.

November just seems way too late for a product that far along. Id almost bet that we get MacBook Pros before any iPhone event.

LovetoDream is saying Jon Prosser has got it wrong yet again and no new hardware. Prosser feels like he's fussing just as much as we are. Seems to get it wrong quite a bit.

Rant…..If we do not get a hardware release today, I’m putting these tabloid like Youtubers, Jon Prosser and others on notice that you have absolutely no credibility and want just higher ratings (Like clicks) and hope that your voodoo source is right. Unless you give us a source and when I say source, I mean a name like Tim Cook for your information, You will never be believed or trusted by me and others. I will hit the dislike button often on the YouTuber channels.🤬 🤮 💩👎🙉 🃏 end of rant.

If there is no MBPs announced today, this will be the biggest rumor miscalculation I've seen in a looooong time. Pretty much every news outlet has been propping up Prosser's rumors, and the certainty of that reporting has made it feel very inevitable.

I want a new MBP but pretty exciting to see him be wrong lol

So according to Gurman, he speculated a summer launch… so that is anytime up until September, we can rule September out as that’s iPhone season, if no announcement today that rules out July… so only option is an event in July with shipping in August… I just can’t see that happening for some reason.

If nothing today I think apple are waiting and hoping to unveil them in a real world event not an online event, probably towards the end of the year.

Not that we know yet, but either way I wouldn't find it too surprising. Last year we went through the same thing waiting for the iMac refresh. I'm sure i was ranting about it last WWDC as i needed the machine ASAP. And I'd wager the wait for the eventual 2016 Mac Book Pro was actually the worst (people had been waiting for a redesign for 2 years plus on that one). It stinks if it doesn't happen, especially for people that need a new device now, but the pandemic/chip shortages are a serious wild factor here.

Same thing happened with the iMac refresh last year.

I was also thinking about a July 13 event with a late-August ship date. I guess that could still happen, but… yeah it feels weird.

Gotta wonder what is coming in WWDC that is so major they had to give spacial audio it’s own separate event… From the rumors we’ve heard, none of the new OS updates are big this year. Part of me is still holding out for something at WWDC.

If WWDC proves false, then I expect a surprise MacBook Pro centered event in the coming weeks. With the battery size filing and the leaked schematics, these things are too far along to hold back until fall… Not to mention Apple has pretty much nothing for the Pro market. The current 16” is from 2019… a completely different decade and can be outdone in most CPU task by the MacBook Air which cost 1/2 as much. Apple can’t let this lineup stay the way it is much longer.
