Ah that sucks. I can wait, but I don't want to. I hope for a surprise July event or something like that. Since these things are now recorded, who knows what will happen. Was that a new MBP I saw in the keynote, or did it just look new lol

Hehe, I also thought I saw something, but alas. It was the old design. I can also wait, my mid14 13" is on it's last year now =(

I thought for sure it would come... I can't even look down on the tech Youtubers cause I was right there with them on this one lol! On the bright side, Mac OS 12 will be launching for developers today so that could give us some clues about the Macbook Pro if there are glyphs or other images showing the unreleased products.

Not announcing today does give us some hope that mini LED will come. Also, the closer we get to September, the more I think the M1X might be more than just an upgraded M1... We could be seeing a chip that stands on its own and has more in common with the upcoming A15 than the A14.

Gurman has the best track record (in the 90s) and he said summer which technically we are not in yet. We know these things are pretty far along in their production cycle. Registering the battery size with the Chinese government is a step beyond just another leak. So we do have some clear signs that's its coming very soon. Maybe July is a bigger possibility than we might think.

Very disappointing for me, I certainly thought that we would see an updated MacBook pro today. I have been counting the days until today's keynote. :(
I hope my mid-2010 MacBook Pro still working until the newer one comes, otherwise, I will have to look for other cheaper options outside Apple as I use it mainly for work and maybe then in the future come back to Apple's MacBook.

It’s been almost 580 days since the 16-inch. It’s not “too early” to expect an update.
True. But that is hardly the point. Point is the prosumer chip isn‘t ready, and/or the new form factor ASi devices. 580 days - yes, but would you be happier with just an Intel/AMD spec bump? I am assuming: no. People are waiting for ASi MBPs

It seems like exactly the point. Aren’t we coming up on the record amount of time since the last update to Apple’s biggest MBP or PB? And if they aren’t announced in July, we probably won’t see them until at least October, which means it will be over 700 days.
