I use a "Logitech MX Anywhere 3 Mac" bluetooth mouse with my 2015 MBP and it works perfectly. I didn't bother with the Logitech software, I just paired the mouse and started using it. The mouse has a button on the bottom to toggle between three paired devices so I also use it with my iPad Pro. I had a Magic Mouse before and didn't like the flat feel but the MX Anywhere 3 is comfortable. I bought it initially because it is designed use on non-traditional surfaces and I wanted to use it on the arm of my leather chair which it handles fine.

Wouldn't it be cool if the mag safe port was also a fully 85w powered USB C.

That way we could have the plug in the wall, a magsafe multi port Dock then that would cable into the magsafe. so one cable would do A LOT.

Doubt apple would open up mag safe though.

Maybe, but what percentage of MBP users have even one device connected at any given time? The number of users for whom the above would be important must be minuscule.

I know it’s a long shot but is there any chance if Apple will reduce the price in CAD for the new 14 inch MacBook
Pro as Apple laptops are already way overpriced when they set price in Canadian dollar.

I guess these will not come with LTE/5G capability? Are there any such dongles that work on M1 Macs at all?

iPhone tethering? or do you have to use a company plan? - tethering from my iphone on ATT is pretty kick butt!

heck, when my internet goes down, setting my imac to use the iphone tethering is just as good!

At least, we are almost sure, that we will have a new mbp 16' before the end of 2021?
I mean, the worst case scenario.
Worst case? That’s debatable (I’m sure there’s lots of potential for further delays and production snags etc). Most likely scenario? It will debut in October or November, ship in November or December. As it is now apparently in full scale production that’s a good sign.

We need some folks to take one for the team and order on day 2. Who's in? 😁
No way 😂!

Definitely day 1 for me. I don’t know about you guys but this summer has been especially tough with the 2019 16”. It doesn’t matter if it’s on my lap, on a desk, on a table, or on a brick of ice, the thing gets so HOT that it can actually be uncomfortable to use. Hot summer days make it even worse. I do a lot of 3D work, video editing and app design work so I really push it to its limits but there’s really no excuse for these temperature levels.

I’m so happy to see Apple leaving Intel behind. We can finally have a thin and light laptop that can handle pro level task without burning through the battery in 2 hours and heating up to the point where you could probably literally cook on it (particularly the area above the Touch Bar).

And no more noise:

Multiple announcements in Sept. is what I’ve been expecting. If new MBPs are indeed in mass production already, Apple isn’t going to stockpile them for 90 days before shipping them, especially in uncertain times like these.

I’m thinking September for the iPhone and October for the Mac. If there is another event in September, I’m thinking it will be a short event for the iPad 9 and iPad mini.

That being said, it will be interesting to see what Apple does for the Mac event sense it will only be the 14” and 16” now that the new Mac mini has been delayed.

oh and MagSafe to they can talk about MagSafe:

History of.
The reason why removed.
How we made it out of ALoooominium and made it better.
Video.

For a MacBook PRO I would have thought quite a few. I’ve got power, monitor, audio interface at a minimum, with USBC charging to ipad or lightening charger for phone.
the more USBC ports the better.
