What will happen if I start to breath in front of the screen?
What will happen if I close the MacBook and but a pen on top?
What will happen if I need to transport it in my hand or a bag?
What will happen if someone touch the screen with his finger?
Wasn’t it obvious that a lot of people will cover the camera?

Unless you're a dragon, I don't think breathing in front of the screen is an issue.
Your pen will sit patiently on top of the computer.
It will get transported to your intended destination.
You'll get annoyed and have to wipe the smudge off the screen.
No. Not if it interferes with the way the computer should be used. That's crazy.

Hey, I'm not denying it has happened. I believe it has happened, but if you're worried about this, well you gotta do what you gotta do.

Also, how old is the article? It states Sep 2nd, but we all know that sites often put updated dates on their articles after they change or update one tiny thing to get hits.
The website is basically saying that due to manufacturing delays we could see one of the following:

1. The MacBooks will launch in November instead of October

2. They will launch in October but with limited quantities

In my opinion, based on the latest rumors and leaks, I’m thinking we get an announcement in October and a launch in November. An announcement and launch in November could certainly happen but I’m thinking November will be reserved for the iPads and Apple Watch 7 (unless it’s announced with the iPhone but current reports point to it being delayed).

Other places are saying same, possible delay but should be short if it happens.

Okay, thanks.

So basically means order as soon as it goes live because there could be delays like last year. Waited about 7 weeks for a MBA M1!

Have they ever made the machines immediately available for order after a keynote? Or is there always a "you can order from this friday at midnight" type system?

I think BTO is gonna be a decent wait though to be honest. What's the normal wait on a BTO machine at normal times? 2 weeks from order to receipt?

Realistically speaking, after all these discussions and expectations,
I don't see a new mbp 16' in users' hands,
before the January of 2022.

Any thoughts on Apple adding an ethernet port to the power adapter like they did to the new 24" M1 iMac on the new MacBook Pros? That would be really welcome for me as I do video editing and I need the extra bandwidth to my network storage system
Would be very logical that they go and do that, well, at least if they do add a new MagSafe port.

I mean they should just go ahead and do that but I guess with Apple being Apple these days they might sell a separate MagSafe-charger with an Ethernet-port, to make a few extra $.
I believe the only reason against selling it as a separate charger would be that very very few would go out and buy a new charger just to get a charger with a built in Ethernet when they could either just use WiFi or use a TB3 to Ethernet adapter if they need the extra bandwidt, so Apple wouldn’t really make that much money doing so anyway.

I do however hope and also kind I’d expect that Apple will continue to add the Ethernet port the same way as they do in the M1 iMac because it’s brilliant, less cables/dongles, less chance of forgetting it and also Apple can continue to make their computers crazily thin.

Digitimes: LED suppliers say shipments on schedule.

I would like a simple USB-C charger, just like on current M1 Macbooks.

Now they introduce yet another proprietary charger. Yet they excluded a charger for latest iPhones to be friendly to the environment. This is hypocrisy. But if you add ethernet into it, you save an ethernet dongle. Thus, more friendly to the environment? Anycare care to do the math? Nah.

Nah, most of the rumors surrounding this release indicated that the mini-LED panels were the largest bottleneck.
Yes, but their last report was chip delay.

From Digitimes:

The ongoing chip shortages that are in varying degrees may cause the launch of Apple's upcoming miniLED-backlit MacBook Pros to be scheduled in October or even November, instead of the usual September, according to industry sources.

Looks like it will be December for the M1X.
A lot of months before they said that we can buy the M2X! at the beginning of 2022.
This sounds like the M2X should be designed and ready now but not produce.

I will be extremely surprised if whatever is released does not support USB-C charging.

Assuming this is correct you will still be able to use any USB-C charger of sufficient wattage, and of course your existing USB-C Ethernet dongles as well.

MagSafe will simply be an addition you can choose to use if you wish.

Of course, thunderbolt charges very conveniently. There is NO WAY they are gonna kill it :)
