Think we are just waiting for the digital invites first at the moment. One for the iPhone event, and the next for Macs.
I don’t think they are in the boxes yet.I'm wondering the same thing! As of today, we are officially in September so if the latest rumors are to be believed, we are getting these things next month... Let that sink in. We also know these things are in mass production and have been for some weeks now... so somewhere in a warehouse right now are completely assembled Macbook Pros in their retail boxes ready to ship to us.
I think the fact that we haven't seen anything just shows that Apple has really beefed up their leak prevention measures. However, they can't hide it forever. This close to release, I think we should start getting leaks any day now.
The 14" is replacing the 4 port 13" and that already has the 16GB RAM and 512 SSD as standard.Do you guys think there will be a 14" 16GB Ram M1X option? Or will 16GB be standard on only the 16"?
True. They are probably assembled and waiting for the launch version of Mac OS Monterey. Ether way, it's very surprising we haven't seen more leaks.I don’t think they are in the boxes yet.
the 24" iMac was also not leaked. Macs don't get leaked as much as iPhones in terms of renders or clones.True. They are probably assembled and waiting for the launch version of Mac OS Monterey. Ether way, it's very surprising we haven't seen more leaks.

Heck we did not even know the design of the iMac till it launched.
Actually I think Mac interest is up by a huge amount these days and it will increase when M1X macs release. In my opinion less people are interested in macs, but a lot of people are waiting a new iPhone (although they have an android smartphone)
Huh? Not sure what you mean. When looking at the display problems of the MacBook M1, I will probably buy the M2X and not the M1X.
I don’t want to pay 8000€ for a display which have a high chance of getting damaged, when a hair could be enough to kill that device.

I think the user might be referring to the situation where some M1 users (how many, not sure) have had their screens crack with nothing more than closing the lid. In some of those cases Apple seem to have denied a replacement saying it was user error and something was on the computer when they closed the lid to cause the crack. There is a thread on MR about it.Huh? Not sure what you mean.
Yeah they were overblown. The M1 Macbooks use the same screens/panels as the Intel macbooks they replaced. When looking at the display problems of the MacBook M1, I will probably buy the M2X and not the M1X.
idk man my 16" I had for almost 2 years it is fine. Sometimes my hair falls on the trackpad when I close it but when I open it again my screen did not crack.when a hair could be enough to kill that device.
Yeah they did not change the screen or the body of the M1 MacBooks. The early 2020 Intel models changed the keyboard to Magic Keyboard.Correct me if I'm wrong, but they didn't change the chassis of either the M1 Air or M1 MBP 13, did they? They did change the keyboard though? I can't imagine a key causing a screen to crack. It would have to come from pressure I guess and the screen was misaligned within the casing or the like??? A bad batch maybe??? Dunno.
For the 14” it will almost certainly be 512gb. However, for the 16” there seems to be 2 trains of thought based on how the GPU situation is handled:What do you thik the lowest SSD will be on the new mbp?
What will happen if I start to breath in front of the screen?I think the user might be referring to the situation where some M1 users (how many, not sure) have had their screens crack with nothing more than closing the lid. I have a M1 Air and it's fine, but that is just me. I don't know how widespread it is or if this happens with the release of every computer.
