I ordered my I5 IMac on Black Friday. Was told it would ship out Dec 11th and arrive the 16th. Checked my order status today and it shipped this morning and is expected to arrive Friday morning... ;)

I ordered on the 28th and should be getting mine today. The serial number in the shipment page decodes to a week 47 build (Nov 16-22). I'll report if mine has the issue/s.

I'm guessing mine is the same since ours were both shipped from MacConnection on the same day. Is this build date good or bad for all the screen problems?

Either way, I wait for it to arrive today! Of course, I'm at work, so I won't get open it until late tonight.

Here's the site I used: http://www.chipmunk.nl/cgi-fast/applemodel.cgi

You can get your S/N by looking at your order status page then click on order details...

I don't know which production week the fix was supposedly made...

Enjoy!

UPS always comes to our house so late!! It's still "out for delivery." FexEx brought a package at noon. Ugh!

Same here. Earlier this week, though, UPS delivered my 4GB RAM kit in the morning so I thought today's delivery would be in the morning but it's still currently showing "Out for Delivery". :(

From MacConnection. This is the third iMac I've bought from them; they've kept me a happy customer.:)

Glad to hear that. I ordered from them for the first time on November 30th ... supposed ship date of the 11th with a 14th arrival ... tick tock tick tock

MacMall order

I placed an order on Black Friday for the i7 and they said they were out of stock and suppose to have the i7 shipped out today, i checked the order status and there are still no shipping info because its back-ordered, I called MacMall and they told me due to the crack screen issue and yellow tint, and other issue, they have about 300 orders that were having issue and have to return, so he told me my machine will arrive to their warehouse by the 16th, another week to wait... :( Anybody having the same issue with their resellers?

I received my i5!

UPS finally delivered at 6:21PM but it's ok since I got home later than that today.

I installed a 4GB kit then powered up. I migrated from the image of my previous iMac and it took 45 minutes for about 190GB, thanks to the Firewire 800 interface of my image disk...

The machine is awesome so far and I don't see any of the issues brought up in this forum. More later

Stats: Week 47 build (11/21/09), stock i5

 MacConnection suppose to ship it out today and just now i was told they won't be getting a shipment from Apple until the 18th. WTF!

On the 10th they were still telling me they would be getting one on the 11th. UGH!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear that. They're usually good about promise dates but supplies from Apple are probably being crunched by the holiday season. This time, I ordered my i5 on Nov 27th and was promised shipping by Dec 4th; they actually shipped on Dec 3rd...

Dont fell bad, I ordered mine from Macconnection on Black Friday cause they agreed to match Apple Black Friday sale so between sale price and the fact no sales tax in CA from them I went ahead and ordered it, and they told me they were expecting some on Dec 1, then when I called on Dec 2 to inquire they said Dec 4 but they have tons of back orders and not sure mine would be one of the ones they are getting on Dec 4 but it would ship for sure by Dec 11, then I called today to inquire and I was told they still have not received any in at all from the time I ordered mine but they expect to get them in on the Dec 18 and they will upgrade my shipping to next day for free. I have a felling come Dec 18 they will push back again as they just seem to push it back ever friday to the next friday.

Btw I order 27 I7 4gig of ram and 1T HD. Gal told me they have I5 in stocks and was willing to switch my order for an I5, I declined. I have a felling the I7's from MacConnection might not ship out till some time in Jan if that is the case I might cancel my order as Apple normally releases new Imac in March and Oct and I am sure the March refresh might be worthwhile waiting for considering it might be less than 8 weeks away by the time my I7 shows up at MacConnection. I have a felling the next refresh might have a better graphic cards so that alone might make it worth while to wait.

At least you got an free next day shipping upgrade. They wouldn't do it for my order. Plus, they already shipped Fusion out and if i were to cancel my order and return Fusion, they would charge a 15% restocking fee.:mad::mad:

Maybe cause I asked them to match Apple.com sale on black friday online support said I had to call in to place my order. When I placed my order I also ordered 4 extra gigs of ram(2x2), free after rebate HP printer and free fusion but I told them not to ship anything before they shipped my Imac because I am only buying the other items cause I am buying the Imac and if my Imac does not come in a reasonable amount of time I might cancel my whole order.

So I guess cause I am able to cancel without a restocking fee as nothing was shipped they might have been more willing to upgrade my shipping to next day for free.

Going on 1 month still hasn't shipped

I ordered mine from simply mac on November 13th I called them last Tuesday and told them to get some details. They were told it will ship to them on December 16th. I probably won't get it until the 23of December. Has anyone else been waiting that long?

I've got an i5 "on order" from them and got the same 11th to 18th delay so I don't know how she told you there were i5s in stock.

Does anyone know if Apple has them in local stores right now? (stock i5) I heard they are in and would gladly pay the extra $100 or so to have it sometime this year...

The i5s they have in stock are BTO models, with 8gb (4gb extra) with no rebate.

I got mine from i7 from my reseller, but it had the **** flickering problem 30 mins out of the box. I have returned it for a full refund and am reordering from direct from Apple.

I ordered mine on November 10th, and am still waiting for it... And I have no idea whatsoever when it will come :(

Got another call from MacMall, they said that Apple delayed iMac shipping for another two weeks, but they're still getting a few in this week for sure, and one of them is going to be mine.

If it has any problems, would Apple replace it or would MacMall have to?

You should be able to. It would be covered under Apple warranty and all they'll probably ask for is your receipt. I bought an iBook from Amazon years ago and it had a shell alignment problem. I took it to my local Apple store and, after verifying my receipt, they replaced it on the spot.
