Waiting for 27" Quad from RESELLERS

More info from MacMall

I ordered my i7 iMac on Black Friday (11/27/09) from MacMall (can't beat the 5% rebate from ebates) and called yesterday to get an idea when it would ship. I was told they are expecting mine to arrive there on 12/08. From reading the last few messages here, it seems the info seems to be consistent at the very least. Hopefully in two weeks I'll see the beauty in person.

lol, i ordered the same day too, free printer, parralels, and instant -$60, + $100 dollar rebate on the imac


hopefully i won't have problems, since this is a later batch.
 
... I ordered an i7 the 28th of October, still no shipping info or any news!!! Any other Belgians having similar experiences ??
 
This morning, my order status just went from "Backordered" to "Open" with MacConnection. I ordered last Friday and was told on the two times that I asked since then that mine will ship "on or about" tomorrow. Looks like they're being true to their word. Woohoo!

I won't break out the champagne just yet until I get a ship notice but I have reconfigured my external backup and Time Machine drives for the new machine. So, I'm ready!:)

I ordered mine the 30th of October and like you, I also haven't heard any news. I'm wondering how long it's still gonna take. I ordered an i5.
Where did you order it? I ordered mine at Switch.

Ordered my iMac i7 from MacMall on 11/18. Called today for update and was told 12/14. This date has now changed for the 4th time (11/30, 12/4, 12/8 or 12/9, now 12/14). I'm really not sure I'll see this thing before January.

Ordered i5 on Black Friday from Amazon....shipped on Saturday with tracking number, but said "In Transit" and said it would be to me by 12/1/09!!!! Wow!!

Called Amazon on 12/1 as it said still "In Transit"....they said it shipped already, but wasnt updated on UPS tracking site and to look for it by Friday!

To my surprise it came in 12/2....UNFRICKING believable....AWESOME machine....AMAZING looking and fast!!!!

Only issue is there are some light scratches on bottom right corner of screen in the black trim area!!!!

Coming from a G4 Tower w/17" monitor....this machine is PURE pleasure!!!!

After seeing your post, I checked the status on my order at MacConnection and it now says "SHIPPED"!!!! Tracking number and everything! It isn't expected to arrive until next week (I went with the free shipping), but I'm excited to know it's on the way!!

I also checked just now and it's shipped a day ahead of what I've been told! UPS tracking shows that it is, indeed, enroute for delivery next week (I also chose free shipping). Hooray for MacConnection! They are batting 100 in my book; this is my third iMac purchase from them and I've been a happy customer.:)

I ordered mine on 11/30 and was told (through chat) that they are expecting a next shipment from Apple this Friday 12/7. Hopefully i'm be getting mine next week.


Has anyone received a DOA iMac from resellers?

If you ordered from MacConnection, I'd probably put money on it. Mine is showing as on schedule for delivery this week. :cool:
 
Just got iMac i5 today

Hey guys, just a notice that after waiting a month and 8 days I finally got the iMac from the switch retailer in Belgium. Can't wait to get it home, I'm still in class ATM. I really hope I won't experience any of the issues these models are having. Will keep you posted with impressions when I get home.

edit: writing this on the iMac: It's amazing! No issues so far :)

darn!! i know amazon itself was carrying it at some point in time... I originally didnt go through them because i wanted the i7, but i think realistically, the i5 should be enough for me. And with the added savings in no tax and free shipping, it comes out to a significant savings.

Keep checking their site. Once in a while, it shows up as a "direct" Amazon item. Or check out MacConnection; they have a special through tomorrow...
 
You all are nuts :)

I pay 2200$ for a machine, Im not waiting over 2 weeks, end of story. By the time some of you get what you ordered, your rebates will be invalid (which hopefully whatever site will make up for), or there will be new i7's out :)

Crazy I say.
 
My order was placed on November 20th. I received this email from my reseller.

Just a follow up update on the iMac order. Apple has identified a production issue with the graphics cards in the machines with quad core processors. This has resulted in machines with flickering screens or video problems. Many users that have received machines already are having these issues. Apple has re-worked the video card to resolve the issue, but this has created a delay on the orders. Machines with 2.66 GHZ processors should start shipping next week, those with 2.8GHZ processors should start shipping the week after.

Any machines that are currently available at stores will be the older models and will likely suffer from the flickering video issue. This would be resolved as a warranty repair on the machine.

We will keep you updated with any information regarding shipment of your order.

I ordered on the 28th and should be getting mine today. The serial number in the shipment page decodes to a week 47 build (Nov 16-22). I'll report if mine has the issue/s.
