My i5 iMac arrived from ClubMac yesterday. I'm loving it so far! No problems, no hard drive noise or anything. Here are a couple pics (along with my 15 & 17 inch MacBook Pro's for comparison):

Thank you for your photos!
I don't think I will ever tire of looking at the beautiful machine that it is.

I just went on Amazon to cancel my order and order from another seller only to find out it is now being prepared for shipping and order can't be cancelled!!! Also my bank account has been charged which means it's about to ship! YAY!!

really?? hah! i knew that woudl happen as soon as i canceled my order! go figure... well, i'm not all that disappointed... i'm sitting here typing away on my i5 and couldn't be happier... i used my EPP discount which basically got me back down to what I would have paid on Amazon..

Considering that Club Mac did not respond to two e-mails I sent last week I sent them another telling them to take a hike and RA the stuff they shipped early and cancel the iMac.

I will buy from a better organization, at least one that replies to e-mail inquiries.

Don't buy from MacMall then. I've sent them four different support e-mails, they've responded to one and ignored the rest. And they do everything over the phone for some reason, I can't even confirm a small order without calling. Seems like it'd be faster, easier and cheaper just to use e-mail.

Figures, well Best Buy is selling iMacs for $100 off now, Apple will be $100 off on all (including i5).

I called ClubMac and they told me the 30th at the earliest, I told them if they cannot put it on my door Thursday or Friday to cancel the order, RMA the two items they shipped, and bugger off.

Forgive my ignorance... What does RMA mean?

I ordered from MacConnection and they sent one item already. I want to cancel, but don't know how much I'll have to pay for the "free" software they already sent.

Return Merchandise Authorization.

As I told the Club Mac people, the primary reason for buying from them disappears with big box retailers and Apple having nearly the same price. The added bonus is I don't have to deal with their rebate, let alone I will get a real delivery date instead of the constant lies I have received from Club Mac.

Mine arrived today from expercom.com, was a i7 2.8 w/8 gigs of ram and a 2TB Hard Drive.. now i just need to get home and get this thing set up

Mind if I ask when you placed your order on Amazon? I ordered on Oct 27th and I've had zero activity.

I ordered on Oct 20th the day Apple announced them. I got an email from Amazon on Nov 20th asking if I still wanted to keep my order active since it had been a month and I answered yes. The next day it was shipped. odd.

Cool. Hopefully I hear something by next Monday. (not expecting anything to happen Thurs-Sun) :(

I placed an order for an i5 with Amazon on Sunday November 8th.

I hope it doesn't take a few weeks longer than ordering straight from Apple. I really like the $25 discount, no sales tax, and getting 3% back for using my Amazon card.

I'm holding off waiting for the typical $100-150 rebate on Apple computers
from Amazon. But you have to wait a little while past the initial surge
of demand. Hope to see them By January.

The in stock isn't direct from amazon, but for another company :(

I gave up, bought one directly from the local apple store on friday.

It was in stock with Amazon yesterday afternoon. But, no surprise, Amazon's sold out again.

And my i5 shipment has left seller facility and is in transit. More glorious words have never been read this day by me on the UPS website. :D

Square Group, UK reseller

Has anyone else placed an order with Square Group in the UK? I originally ordered an i5. I then rang to see if I could upgrade to the i7, but was told that my iMac was already in Ireland. A week later I wa told that it hadn't been made, so I upgraded to the i7.

I was also told that due to a parts shortage, no quads are being made.

When I read a forum full of people getting notification of shipping, I can only assume the reseller in the UK are getting no stock from Apple.

So, anyone got a better experience of a UK reseller, esp Square Group? Have you had a machine actually appear?

Am now reconsidering the whole quad thing. May see what deals are to be had on Black Friday and just go for a C2D. It would fit my needs 99% of the time.

Ordered an i5 from ABT of Chicago Tuesday and it has shipped (on Tuesday) Trouble is that while it normally only takes two days to arrive in Atlanta UPS might not get it here till Monday.

Hopefully UPS will get it here Friday, will be annoying if not.

Ordered i5 from ClubMac on 10/28 and just checked my order status and it's shipped. I have a tracking number, but it's not in the system yet. Can't wait! :D :apple:
