You are not alone, sitting in Sweden, ordered i5 about 1.5 hours after store went up on the 20:th, my order also starts with 9131*. My order status says, and have been saying the last week; Ships: 18 Nov, 2009
Delivers: 23 Nov, 2009. Hope it can be earlier......

I'm in Italy. Ordered the 27th October. I too have W9131* as an order number...I guess then it's just random

Hi everyone
I order imac i7 on the 24 oct.

I live in glasgow UK
My order just been shipped ....but the imac doesnt have a tracking number yet :D

hopefully ill get it by Tuesday

This is not fair and also sheds doubt on the first come first served problem. I live in Irvine (about 35 miles from Glasgow for non UK residents). I have had no money taken from my bank as of yet, and no update on my shipping date - it still only says 'November'.... Not amused :(.

My only thoughts on why it might be delayed further are that I have ordered a 2 TB hard drive instead of the standard 1 TB drive, as well as an apple remote. I noted also that "hpp29" has just had his order shipped - which is the same spec as mine. So HOPEFULLY by tomorrow morning there will be an update.

I'm not worried about when it gets delivered, but I could do with knowing when the delivery date will be, so I can organise my life around making sure someone is Home to collect it...

PS - order number is 9135xxx which is very close to people who have had shipping confirmation in the UK, with my spec, in the past hour. Fingers crossed! :)

I asked a question a few pages back
but this thread updates itself every minute.

What was the big deal about Apple giving
us expedited 2-day shipping when the actual
shipping time is 3 or more business days?

The FedEx tracking on my i7 shows it going
out today but not arriving till Monday. Yet,
my order says 2 DAYS SHIPPING.

Anything previously discussed about this?

Where do you live and who is the carrier?

I see your posts I think.....retard.

Uhm, NJ is where I live. FedEx is carrier.

Come and visit, dirwood!

The most express shipping Apple has on CTO Macs is 2-3 day because they ship from China. They cannot guarantee anything sooner.

I think we also need to distinguish between first come first serve to order and pay for an item vs. first come first serve to ship. Two different issues. Now it can very well be first come first serve to order, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is first come first serve to ship. Shipping is completely different than ordering. So if you order before person X and you were able to order the last item before more are produced next year, then yes you should get that item. However just because you ordered before X doesn't mean yours will ship before theirs. Logistics folks.

Those times on the FedEx track are China times, so it is the 12th already. However, if the flight leaves today and gains a "day" it will probably end up in Alaska sometime tomorrow mid-morning or so and into Memphis sometime late Thursday night. Depending on the flights to various cities from Memphis I guess some could get lucky and catch a deliver on Friday morning. But most will probably end up being delivered on Monday... me included. It's two day but with the date line involved it can become three days.

By the way you can show the Destination timezone by checking the menu under the status. It makes it a little bit easier to figure out what time and day the status is reflecting. Here's hoping a few make the flight connections and get their Quads on Friday.

For all those of us waiting for our Quads to be shipped take some comfort that by the time our iMacs come rolling off the production line the assemblers will have figured how to put them together properly:D:D:D

Its Here Its Here !!!! Holy Sh!+ Its Fn Here
It Was Supposed To Come Tommorow At 1030am
And I Get Home And Its Here

Apple randomly shipping?

Same here, my i7 iMac ordered october 21st. has also just been shipped, order number W91...
It should arrive here in Denmark on or before the 23rd, neither have I received a tracking number.

No way!?

You are in Denmark and ordered an i7 on the 21st and it has been shipped?

I'm in Denmark, ordered an i7 on the 20th and it still says "November"??

Order number: 9130xxxx (that's one of the earliest European order numbers I've seen around here).

I really don't understand Apple's shipping policies... I really don't!

PS. I'm glad you're getting yours of course :) ... just a bit frustrated.

Regards
Martin (Copenhagen)
