Waiting for 27" Quad to SHIP thread

Going to be the last monkey

Congrats all of you that are going to get your iMacs. I feel very had for the reason that i ordered mine the 23rd from Spain and it still says november. I'm really fed up from waiting. I ordered it from the spanish apple site and I feel like the last monkey :(

Trying to understand the flightware site it looks like FDX90 is the next flight due at 12:49 AST... left Shanghai 10:XX PM CST 11/11. So it looks like FDX90 will get to Memphis sometime tomorrow around noon our time or CST. That would make any iMac's easily available for Friday delivery. However I don't know if this is the flight that many missed the flight for.

I can't believe I am tracking airplanes.....:D
 
My i7 shipped today, currently on a slow boat from China. Due to arrive on Monday, this is with the fast shipping option.
 
Congrats to everybody who is seeing their iMacs arrive stateside (in the nation state context -- I'm not trying to be US-centric)!! Can't wait to see unboxing pics!

It's very strange.

It's only 2 days ago that I called and confirmed that everything was OK with my VISA card etc.

So it can't be payment problems holding up my order... Hmm.

PS. Did you order extra RAM or HDD or anything?

I ordered 8GB RAM, but that shouldn't matter as it's already BTO because of the i7 processor.

The extra step in the BTO could take more time for all we know..

Sebastians order could have been a simple i7 and shipped with lots of other i7s without RAM upgrade to Holland (atleast most european orders go through Holland, Apple has their European logistics center there)

Hopefully your order will come with the next flight! :)

All the Apple products I received from China went to Alaska, then to Memphis and then sent to Las Vegas. I don't think they are splitting the bulk shipments to different distribution hubs.

Just to let you know that 2 hours ago I got a shipped notification on the US site-I think I ordered on the 22nd after you with a W9135 order number, so hopefully yours won't be long.
No details of carrier etc yet. Estimated delivery of 20th but I know it will not be long now-been there with my MBP earlier this year.

When will resellers start seeing units?

I ordered a stock i5 from Amazon on Oct 20th to save a few bucks, knowing full well that I would not be among the first to receive one by doing so.

Has anyone else who ordered from a reseller gotten any info regarding when they will ship? For the first couple of weeks, Amazon's page stated that these would ship in November. It now says that this is a 'Pre-order' and does not give any definite date.

I assume the order of priority is Apple online orders, Apple Stores, Best Buy, other major resellers, then everyone else.

Has anyone who's ordered from someone other than Apple received an update on the availability??

The Quad's don't even show up on the U.S. Best Buy site anymore, and the Canadian site (which used to say shipping Nov. 7) now just says 'Out of Stock'.

Yes you could be right, would be interesting to know if Sebastian's only BTO option was the i7 processor.

I hope for a status change tomorrow!

Checking availability on the Apple Online Store now gets you a "November" estimate no matter what quad options I choose (i5 or i7, 1TB or 2TB, wired or Magic Mouse). Are they getting further behind, I wonder?

(And no change in my order status, still "Not yet shipped". :( i7 / 4GB / 2TB)
 
could it be possibly true that those who costumized their macs, will receive it on a much later date then those who ordered the basic??

I'm still waiting for my i7, 8gb ram, 1TB, wired numeric keyboard, magic mouse.

there are some people that have posted that they have received shipping details even with BTO options added
