Join the crowd. Mine is going to the US but seems to be moving around the airport and nowhere else... So much for 2 day delivery.

I had the same problem.. but I think they are also late in posting... I got a shipping notice on tuesday, it sat in CH for about 20 hours and then it got to Lousville this morning around 3am so we are back on track for 2 day delivery. UPS is not as quick or accurate at posting as FedEx is.

Prepared for Shipment! Awesome!!

i7 Quad, 8GB RAM, 1TB DRIVE. Ordered on the 20th. CANCELED order on the 27th. Reordered on the 29th. (For the education discount)

I thought I would lose 9 days but apparently not. Should be here by the beginning of next week.

where are you located?

In the UK we don't get a tracking number until it reaches the final courier (i.e. 1 [working] day before delivery).
I have a UPS tracking number and have been watching my i7 bounce around the far east for a couple of days. Seems to be on its way to the British Isles now.

Estimated delivery is tomorrow.. But I trust UPS not one bit.

My i7, 2.8ghz, 8GB RAM 2TB has just been shipped, tracking number as well, ETA 19th Nov to Sou-West West Australia. They're on their way folks...
Ordered 27 Oct.

Cool, mine too (ordered 24th) to Sydney. 23 hours from "Prepared" to "shipped". Wonder if "shipped" means allocated tracking number or actually picked up. I'll find out by working backwards once TNT tracking is up for the package..

I ordered on the 2nd and it still says ships November

Has anyone received a prepared for shipment yet from that date?

The waiting sucks. Apple should give us a better indication than November.

Ordered stock i7 base.

Ordered stock i7 base.

To be fair, you placed a pre-order fully aware of the "Ships November" caveat so nothing has changed there. It seems Apple are shifting these units pretty fast now and, bearing in mind logistics and a few exceptions, those who placed earlier orders are now seeing progress on their shipping status. All things in good time.

Hmm, maybe the way I was thinking is just for stock models - they just send a container load over here all the same and distribute them afterwards from their Ireland centre. BTO Macs will need to be identified all the way to the customer so I guess they could send them individually by UPS. Or it could just be that they're doing it to speed up delivery on long wait orders. Or maybe they've have changed their tactics altogether.

That shipping exception (missing pickup I imagine) caused an entire days delay. Blast!

At least it is finally on its way to Alaska. There will be plenty of pics once it comes.

I'm also on the same 'missed cuttoff' truck.

They probably stopped for food or took a smoke break. The way I see it, that cutoff was missed by around 8 minutes as others who had 8:07pm, etc. instead of out 8:15 - were shipped. Serious.

Are our iMacs still sitting in China? Where is it "in transit" to? Shanghai? I'm almost wondering if it went back somewhere then had to start all over again. Almost like it was really shipped on the 12th.

We should start our own thread for our unlucky group. :) Who here has these same tracking times?

They seem to be catching up with the backlog. Every day the order dates being shipped go up 2 to 3 days.

yea once they get going they really get going! hopefully by saturday/sunday when i order the wait will be less then that week! that gives me enough time to finish my uni exams then play with the machine! :D:D

Identical to mine. Original schedule delivery was Friday 13th of Nov and is now Monday 16th of Nov with a ?.... Misery loves company.;)

I think this guy has it on his cart and is driving all over the Shanghai Airport trying to find the right plane. He probably passes the update scanner as he circles the Airport and that is why you see the "in transit" status X2 but no destination...

Day 3. Not yet shipped. Ships in November. There are people on here getting thiers today, and I don't even know if mine will be here by the end of NEXT week. I'm never placing an order early on a preorder again, I can say that. Ordered on the 21st, 21 days ago, and still not a word from apple. No updates, no emails, no help when I call.

Don't mind me though, it's just I'm starting to even lose interest. When it does cone, I'll probably be like I don't remember ordering that!

What order date are they on now.

It is mid November with less than 10 business days if you count the holiday here is the U.S.

I do not think it is unfair to expect a ship date at this point.

Just typical for Apple. They cannot deliver on product as promised. One or two orders here and there is all that I see and the month is nearly over.

Why am I waiting so long

It seems like guys who ordered the i7 are getting there machines shipped before i5 orders.

I ordered on the 23rd i5 base and nothing! Im based in the UK, W9136xxxxx

Its not fair :-(

I agree. There seems to be no logical way that they are processing these orders.

I ordered my stock i7 on the 22nd and its still says not yet shipped and yet I see people who have ordered after me with theirs on the way. :(

The custom orders are made special in China and couriered direct to the customer. This is clear from the courier tracking people have been posting.

Could it be that the stock machines are instead shipped in bulk to the local country? If so, that could explain why some stock people are waiting longer: they have to wait for the next bulk shipment.

Mine will be here today too! Fedex shipped it overnight from China! It was supposed to be 2-day delivery.

Darn. To the "Missed Cutoff" folks showing no movement out of China.

Look at page 59's tracking screencap here

http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2209525&start=1450&tstart=0

This guy is actually getting his today according to him. Not sure about 'that' but, well, this could've been us. Literally just a couple minutes late.
I hate the thought of our beautiful machines being "picked up" more than once and sitting/moved around.

But I'm using the above tracking to guestimate when ours will arrive. I'm thinking arrival to the midwest in the wee hours of Friday morning. But I guess FedEx needs a full day to unpallet, etc.

These babies will be sitting at our Hubs on Saturday! We can call and try to pick them up.
