But damn, Nextbyte have the best customer service.
They've never let me down yet.

they do have extremely good customer service!

i have purchased from them since we bought out graphite imac way back in 1999. every mac since then has been from them, great prices and the best customer service. the guy that owned the shop (on the GC), Tom, moved to the robina apple store. so i am not sure who to go to now.... the guy we know or the company we know? hmm

Well, my i7 started shipping to the UK on the 10th, although it didn't really get going until today, and for some reason it seems it was necessary to visit Korea first, which is slightly further away! Original delivery time was posted as the 16th, which was then changed to the 12th (I knew that was too good to be true), then changed back to the more realistic 16th. Now I just have to guess until it gets a little closer, although Korea is 9 hours ahead so at least I'll get that time back. I should have more info at the end of the day.

Doing this from an itouch so bear with me

I have followed this thread from the beggining. My wife
and I are switching after using pcs for 20+ years.I still
use a pc at work for ME design but thought we should
Have something more elegant at home.

I ordered a 27" i7 stock from PowerMax on Nov 2. From the reviews
they seemed reputable. Also saved a couple of B's from tax.

This is suppose to be an Xmas gift for the two of us so no
Worries about getting it on time as long as it's here within the next
45 days.

Anyone else order from PowerMax?

Im interested to see how DJs works. They seemed to place the order online, but i think the consultant said that they email their orders straight to Apple. At the store that i went to the consultant was very polite and upfront about the delay before i purchased it. He has also been helpful when i have called up to ask for info like the shipping number etc..

Interestingly when i first heard about "the new imac" i went into another store (a much bigger, inner city one) and the salesman was trying to tell me that the units on display were the new ones, and i could take one home straight away, LOL, wonder how many people fell for that.

Anyway, if the order i placed has to be delivered to DJs im guessing all the paperwork would be in my name somewhere and im assured they will call me the second it gets there. There is only 2 quads on order at the store i went to (one is mine). I dont get the emails from Apple as i guess it would be getting sent to DJs.

Im hoping my unit is on the same plane to Oz as the ones we hear about on their way to Brissie, and maybe next week or the week after ill be working out how to use the new beast (once they pass customs)

By the time Australia wakes up im guessing we will see some photos of our US friends opening their quads!:apple::D

Hi everyone,

I was on the phone to Nextbyte this morning. (Sydney, Australia).
And they gave me some interesting information.

Roughly 110 units (Imac Quads) are being shipped to Australia today.
Expecting arrival next week.
And another 110 for the following week. So around 220 (more or less) for Australia (November).

Is demand going to be bigger than supply?.....we'll see.

my i7 has been stayed in Shanghai Airport for almost 20 hours now...

Apple store said it would deliver by 13/11/2009 (tomorrow)

I hope it would be arriving Hong Kong tonight and got it delivered on time...

My iMac was shipped yesterday by Kuhne and Nagel, am I the only one??

My other items on the same order are shipped by SYNCREON.. never heard of those guys.. :) I do have a few tracking numbers, but they don't exist according to the Kuhne and Nagel website.. so I have no idea where my order is..

My location is the Netherlands btw.

+1. exact same. still might make it friday i'm hoping, but i'm just happy to know it's finally moving this way. just got new "Nov 12, 2009 3:37 PM
In transit
SHANGHAI CN" message so

Mine is the same, except I got yet another one after 3:37PM - there are 3:37pm and 4:49pm Shanghai "in transit" updates. Looks like FedEx is dividing them up on the Shanghai side or something, as it see,s to have been with them there for almost 36 hours now.

Still i didnt find tracking number on the US order status
Hopefully by the end of the day it will show the tracking number

I also have this kind of tracking page without any tracking number and carrier. But on the US Apple Store I have Kuhne & Nagel Tracking ID for the iMac and SYNCREON for the Apple Care... Anyone knows anything about that?

SAME FOR ME! I'm in Switzerland

I have a tracking number that doesn't work on their website. It is a 20 digit code...

Does anyone know how to track the package? Many threads talk about this company and tell to go here (www.apecode.com/appletrack/) but it doesnt work anymore!
Thanks

this is my status...ahs been standing still at shanghai airport for more than 20 hours...

it just takes a bit more than an hour for a flight to arrive Hong Kong from Shanghai...

I think they have whole lot of iMac waiting to get on the plane at the airport...

So I just checked my order status by phoning Apple, and a friendly American guy told me that it is estimated for the end of November. As well he hopes that I will receive it before December, but it could be that I get it within the first days of December.

I asked if the USA gets it before Europe, and he said no. There is 2 different systems for shipping to USA and Europe. He as well admited partly because of where the iMacs are produced.

I mentioned that I have a friend in the USA that ordered similar iMac to me and already has it. The Apple guy was surprised.

Well, I can't wait to get my i7 in Scotland. Generally the courrier companies, here, are good. UPS and DHL are not always great but TNT is fantastic.
