My i7, is still sitting in Shanghai since 3:30 yesterday or no further info has been scanned since then.

I'm assuming its in route to some location on the West Coast or Central US.

I'm out in Philly. I'm sure a few stops in the states before it gets to me expected on Monday, but hoping for a early delivery on Friday....

Not to rain on you, but that is a bit optimistic considering the distance it needs to travel and dead time between facilities. I would think early next week would be more realistic. Hope for the best for you.

Mine is STILL sitting in China. It's not moving.

The last activity was 11/11 at 6:15am CST (Illinois) time. (8:15p China time 11/11)

What the heck.

Exact same thing for me! Im supposed to receive it friday.. Make it quick UPS or i wont be happy :(

Re: Shipping to Australia.

Hi everyone,

I was on the phone to the reseller this morning. (Australia).
And they gave me some interesting information.

Roughly 110 units (Imac Quads) are being shipped to Australia today.
Expecting arrival next week.
And another 110 for the following week. So around 220 (more or less) for Australia (November).

Is demand going to be bigger than supply?.....we'll see.

YES! A few minutes ago got an email from Apple that my i5 has shipped to Vancouver via UPS. I selected 2-3 day shipping, so if I'm lucky, it will be here by Friday or Monday. Not sure if UPS delivers on Saturday.

Just curious, on your UPS tracking sheet, does it just still say "ORIGIN SCAN" in China? Or do you have a "DEPARTURE SCAN" listing in China as well?

I selected the same 2-3 day shipping on my i7 (I'm in Toronto) and UPS has a delivery date of Friday but I'm still stuck with an Origin Scan in China as my last update (and Apple sent me an e-mail saying my i7 had shipped 24 hours ago). Still trying to figure out if UPS is just skipping the Departure Scan or if my i7 has been sitting in a Chinese UPS facility for 24 hours with no movement :S

t says "Billing Information Received" which I understand from their explanation means that UPS has the information about the shipment but not the box itself. I assume that will be updated soon.

What is not clear is that my Apple Order status says Shipment in 2-3 days but the shipping notification email from Apple says Delivery by November 19th? Further on in the email from Apple is says "Expedited Shipping"

Hey for all those above who's got the origin scan in SH China but no Departure Scan, I'm in the same boat.

Furthermore, my order status says 2-3 day shipping, on the email it says Delivery by Nov 18th... but on UPS I don't even have an expected delivery date? Anyone know how I can check expected delivery through UPS?

Just spoke to Apple support for Australia and didn't get the customs excuse. Simply that the machine hadn't shipped yet (doh!) and that it should ship very soon.

Blackie, what specs did you order and where is it headed?

Ordered an i7 - headed for Sydney. Order was placed 1 November.

Hi everyone,

I was on the phone to Nextbyte this morning. (Sydney, Australia).

hello :)

those numbers would be for nextbyte only. apple wouldnt really have a high priority list for nextbyte, they would be shipping out the apple online orders first.. i would imagine the number of quad imacs coming to australia would be higher then 5,000 this week.

Yay, iMac shipped. It was kinda funny with the time difference between Finland and China, since the tracking thingie said "shipped on 12.11" while it was still the 11th here in Finland.

Anyway I'm so excited that scandinavia is getting their computers soon! :)

europe is moving toof

finally movement for my i7 ordered on oct 20th - it changed during the european night to prepared ......

so i guess i will be the first for austria getting my baby

Sock i7 shipped!

Hey all!

It has been shipped! Yeah! Hurray! Ordered on 24 Oct.
Don't have a working carrier tracking id. It should be TNT for Switzerland I think. Anyone has a working Tracking for TNT yet?

Edit: Apple says it'll arrive on 23th November. I hope this is just an automatic message...

I thought those numbers were a tad low.
Thanks for that.

Our iMacs to NA are actually traveling back in time when they hit AK. Leave Shanghai late Wednesday night and get to Anchorage Wednesday morning.

As a former physics major, I should point out that this is not time travel as it's still later in China when they arrive in AK than when they left (in fact it's later by the time of the flight). Even superman can't get around causality.

Anyone here placed an order from Hong Kong? I placed my order for i7 with 8GB RAM and still have not heard a thing from Apple. I even called Apple and the guy just kept telling me they have no idea when but am sure it will be shipped within November!

It's killing me to hear you guys in Canada and US receiving your iMacs.....afterall iMacs are made in China which is only over the border from Hong Kong. Don't understand why it's faster to ship iMacs to the other side of the globe rather than a 3 hour bus ride.....

UK Apple Order via Education Store

Core i7 / 1TB / 8GB RAM / British Wired Numeric Keypad Keyboard

Ordered 22 October at 17.09Hrs

Just checked US site this morning (12 Nov) and have now moved to "Prepared For Shipment" status which is a re-assuring progress.

Yes, I think I read somewhere on here that someone else in HK got their shipping notice.

I got mine at 1am today (Thursday the 12th). My i7 2TB 8GB will arrive on Monday. However after talking to TNT, I might be able to pick it up at their HK depot on Saturday.

I ordered on October 20th US time, 21st in HK.
