So my question is...if I order an i5 tonight from the UK when might i expect it to be delivered??

Seriously, if I were you assume anything up until the end of November. Despite peoples protests on this thread I think that generally Apple are processing orders in a chronological date order, give or take a day or two and allowing for production line / dispatching logistics. I ordered my Corei7 late afternoon on October 22nd with a couple of BTO tweaks and my order has moved to "Prepared For Shipping" so hopefully I'll see it by end of next week.

My card has a pending transaction!!! I called Apple and they said its usually 3 days from the day the transaction goes pending. Which was yesterday. So she speculated that it should ship tomorrow. Oh my god, the light is at the end of the tunnel!

My card had a pending charge 5 Nov. My order just changed to "Prepared To Ship" today. That was a long week of waiting! Hopefully, yours will be much faster.

Sooo, my ups tracking doesn't state WHEN it will be delivered but I live in Ontario, Canada. Anyone think ill get it by tomorrow or sat? (If I am even considered eligible for delivery on a sat)

Hey squall, yeah our imacs are definitely on the same plane for sure...UPS updated with no delivery date either for me today which pissed the crap out of me. They gotta let us know! I gotta figure out what day to stay home for, Friday or Monday...

I called UPS and spoke with a woman who sounded pretty certain we wouldn't get the iMacs till Monday. When I asked her what route the iMac has to take, she said it has to go through Kentucky first! I was under the impression it goes through Anchorage, Alaska and then Mississauga. She freaked me out as well by telling me my name is not on the order at all, only my address, and that I have to call in Monday morning to add my name onto it - which makes no sense cause I got a printer included in my Apple order which came yesterday and DID have my name on it. So if my name isn't on the iMac, it's clearly UPS screwing things up...She also made it clear that we are NOT eligible for a Saturday delivery date. I don't know how much of the information to trust from this woman - it makes no sense to me that my name would not be on my order and I don't know if this Kentucky information is true...

In any case, I may call again later tonight to try and get a second opinion from another person at UPS.

Does anyone know the time it takes for a flight from Shanghai to Anchorage and Anchorage to Toronto area? Or if it is possible to pick up from the UPS facility directly on Saturday?

So mine shows it left the fedex shanghai facility 6 PM my time last night and there has been zero update since then. I would have expected a scan in Alaska way before now...

How long do these things take to travel for pete's sake?

You can figure out exactly when the flight is arriving by going to www.flightaware.com, and under airport activity, enter in the ICAO code for Toronto. Its CYYZ I believe. Add 6 hours to the arrival time to give you a rough estimate for when it should be available at your local Fedex facility.

That shipping exception (missing pickup I imagine) caused an entire days delay. Blast!

At least it is finally on its way to Alaska. There will be plenty of pics once it comes.

It does have to go through KY, they don't do a AK to TO flight.....

It's highly likely my suffering friends that we don't get it until Monday.....but the 'Express' delivery from UPS is supposed to include Saturday delivery.....check your 'Service' line in the UPS rack window...Express is the faster 2-3 day delivery...which includes Sat....Expedited is normal nobody version.

It looks like my imac went to OSAKA,JP and then ALASKA but will then be routed to Louisevill,KT!
Mine is supposed to arrive Monday (according to UPS) but I'm crossing my fingers for Friday.

FWIW....my delivery date into Toronto has stayed consistent at the 13th.

UPS has a history of breaking their promises however.....

Mine literally just changed dude. It says scheduled delivery date: Nov. 13th. I hope its correct. Thinking of calling UPS just to make sure because that whole Kentucky route seems odd. I'll keep you posted.

Maybe i'm a special order lol I went through a a whole previous order of a 24" (that I received and left unopened till the 20th) which I returned the same day I ordered the i7. The apple rep I had apologized a 100x for the inconvenience and wait and automatically put my order to express shipping on the 20th. Maybe mines an ultra express special case delivery haha
