Puget Sound, Washington.

It went to 'in transit' two days ago and hasn't changed. The remote has been "Int'l shipment release" since mid day yesterday. They are somewhere...I'm sure of that. ;) I'm just disappointed that my money for faster shipping resulted in none of it, so I will call Apple and get it refunded.
Bummer! I'm sure you'll get a refund on the shipping. It sounded to me like they were offering express shipping (for free) like it was candy.

LOUISVILLE, KY, US 13/11/2009 6:10 PKG DELAY-ADD'L SECURITY CHECK BY GOV'T OR OTHER AGENCY- BEYOND UPS CONTROL

Infuriating! Going to call UPS up in a bit and see if they can offer me any more information on what this 'security check' is and how long it'll take.

It's customs. Shouldn't take more than a day, generally just a couple of hours or so.

Those with an expected Monday Delivery....

Just to let you know, in some cases, the
iMac shipments are arriving at local FedEx
facilities today (Friday) for Monday delivery.

Mine did. Arrived at FedEx in my town this
morning though not scheduled to be delivered
till Monday.

I called FedEx and they are arranging that
I can go and pick it up from their facility
later this afternoon.

So, check your tracking information and
contact your FedEx office if it has arrived
there.

We should start seeing some more deliveries for the east coasters any time now. Mine was delivered only minutes after 9:00am EST yesterday.

Congrats man! You'll get it sooner than the Apple exec told you.

So the estimated delivery was scheduled for Tuesday before 4:30pm.

I just checked the status, and it's on the truck for delivery. Today. Friday.

While I'm at work.

Without anyone to hang around and sign for it.

Ugh.

Exactly the same, plus 1TB Time Capsule and Applecare all ordered via the Education store on the 22nd October 2009. Basically I'm happy it's on it's way and hopefully we'll get more specific carrier info in the next few days.

Hi spcdust & colman,
I ordered on 22nd, got my shipped notification on 11th with the 'merge in transit UK' note & am STILL waiting for the carrier tracking number. I also ordered Applecare & the new remote & in the UK I think they are added to the box here or in Ireland so we only get the tracking details once they are picked up over here.
I remember it being similar earlier this year waiting for my new MBP-similar envy of those plane-sharing discussions then & now. However, I remember when I did get the tracking number it was at Leicester or Northampton or somewhere & out for delivery that day or the day after.
Still can't resist checking umpteeen times a day tho'....

Aaah damn i know that feeling.
I had it too when they try to deliver my guitar.
They said tomorrow, but they came that very same day, with no-one around at home

Translation: We sat on your package for a day and now we can't deliver it on time. BUT if you give us more money for a brokerage fee we can magically speed up the process.

This is why I don't ship things with UPS and try my best to avoid purchasing products shipped by them.

You should be able to pre-sign for it if you arent concerned with it being left on the porch.

Cheers for the info, so that's what "Merge In Transit" means.

Same thing for me, keep us posted if you do call UPS

Woke up to find mine STILL in Alaska.
I still have time for Monday delivery, the hope of Friday delivery is GONE.

Another night and no change from UPS. It's been stuck on some loading dock in Shanghai since Nov 10. The final delivery date of Nov 17th is still holding but I've mentally prepared myself for a delay.

Anyone else from Canada experiencing a similar situation?

Yeah, from the appearance of the fedex site, even though they picked it up on the 11th, it's still in shanghai as of 1 AM this morning. Staggering. Off to call FedEx to find out what in the heck is going on.

Shipping question

Hey all,

I have a question about shipping information on the Apple Store.
I have this:

Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) 23 Nov 2009 (Subject to change)
Current Delivery Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule 16 Nov 2009

Does it means that my shipment will be delivered to me on the 16th November or does it means it'll be shipped on that date with an estimated delivery time on 23rd November?

I am from switzerland and I still have this for the carrier information : In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly.

And on the TNT page the 81XXXXXXXX number doesn't work.
Finally I have this carrier on the US Apple Store: Kuhne & Nagel Spedition s.a r. I contacted them and they couldn't find my shipping...

Any info? Thanks!

How screwed up is that

How could you possibly be getting yours if you ordered yesterday?

Many are still waiting from last month.

I don't believe it and if it is true than Apple is F**** up.

They said the orders are processed in the order they are received.

Thanks

That's exactly what I'm trying to do. I called but our local FedEx facility wasn't open yet. The FedEx guy on the phone didn't seem to optimistic that I would be able to pick it up. He said often they put orders for a certain day (11/17 in my case) in a container that would be hard to get packages out of. If they put them on shelves, it will be less of a problem.

I was in the same situation for 48 hours and then all of a sudden my iMac appeared in Chicago. Check out this thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/819081/

Mine was delivered at 9:06 AM. I'll be picking it up after I finish some interviews for work (I won't be able to concentrate if I do it now and I'll be at an event all day Monday so it's either do this work stuff now or you know, suffer the consequences).

Weirdly my remote which was scheduled for delivery no later than today is still showing that it is holed up in Anchorage. Frankly, I don't care about the remote at this point -- it can wait until Monday, no problem -- I'm just ecstatic that the iMac moved so quickly through the process.

The remote even shipped a day earlier, which means it really shouldn't have any reason to to be here today -- but really, I'll count myself lucky that this big guy was shipped and is here!

Congrats to everyone getting theirs today!
