Maybe the waiting is not such a bad thing?

I got my new 27" i7 yesterday.... 24 hours later the flickering and jumping on the screen is crazy. I know that another thread talks about this but it would also be interesting to see how many who got their macs in the last week also have this...

Well now im impressed.

Looks like I will be getting my Imac today!

Status says that its out for delivery! Now thats not bad considering it only changed to prepared for shipping this time yesterday! Tamworth is only 10 miles from me so my baby is that close I can feel it lol.

Oh well, best get me duster out and polish my desk hehehe!

Looks like its gonna be a long day!

Obviously Apple have discovered a way to ship imacs to the uk within 24 hours! Go apple. Shame it took 100 phone calls and a really shoddy ordering system to get through!

Ordered on the 17th, expected delivery Dec 7 settling in for the long wait, reminds me of my CHL license wait. G5 dual 2.5 7 gigs of ram and upgraded video card has been good but alas it is time to part ways no more are the days of using it to heat my office during cold winter months saving on the elec bill, no more days of sweat running down my legs during the summer months with 3 fans going to try and keep the room cool.

I am going to miss the dual displays with 37 inch diagonal real estate but the simpler and cleaner desktop might be better and if its not then well a 24 inch LED display can be added. i keep my digital darkroom dark so no worries about the gloss but if I didnt it would be a different story

it was king yes, it was king, but a new prince is coming. Im also selling off my camera CF Cards for SD Cards and the Cf Card Reader...simplify it feels so fresh and new

December 7th December 7th hurry December 7th

Dude. I don't think bitching down the phone has anything to do with it. Mine is also out for delivery (Nottingham) and I've not called them once.

I assume they've just sent over as many as they can carry - it would be pointless to just send over what's been ordered all the time. Shipping their cargo capacity will reduce waiting times for all future orders as well as those already on hold. Though, I could be completely wrong.

Anyway. I didn't actually expect it to ship this side of December - I don't even have a desk =/

Hell I did enough bitchin for the both of us!

As you say, it prob never made a difference however im gonna tell myself that it did. So much so it got a hole crateful sent over lol

just received a phonecall from the apple store leicester. My imac that i reserved in store has been delivered.

As im receiving mine via ups today this is going spare.

If anyone want to claim it on my behalf drop us a mail and I will give you my name to give in store to claim your i5

cheers

Wouldn't it be the ultimate twist of irony if many of those who were the earliest deliverees ended up with hardware issues while those who waited longest got the next (fixed) revision? Then those with the bad machines end up waiting all over again when they send them in for replacement.

That'd be a story straight out of the Twilight Zone.

In the meantime still showing "Not Yet Shipped" for my own i7 ordered on 11/12. I've been following the flickering/shutoff threads both here and at the Apple forums closely and they are a concern to me.

I bought the mid-2007 24" iMac I'm currently using on it's date of release in August, 2007 and ended up sending it back several times for LCD replacement because of screen gradient issues which you can easily read all about by searching in the archives here.

If it's a bad batch of GPUs or some other hardware issue I hope they DON'T assemble mine until they sort it all out. I'll wait.

While i hope it doesnt happon to anyone, it would be quite ironic :) i feel better about waiting now :) Next thing you know people will be calling apple asking them to NOT ship their imac! :)

UK (HE) - Finally PFS.

Ordered: i7, num-pad, AC. 11 Nov.

No charge or hold on my card, but I still assume it will be shipping soon. It's only PFS on the US store, but both have greyed out cancel links.

My 3GS was just delivered so my excitement was already 10/10.

UK Order and I'm starting to get a little frustrated:

Ordered 22 October 2009
Shipped: 12/13th November

My order has to "Merge In Transit GB" (Time Capsule / Applecare) therefore no tracking info apart from "In transit to customer - on schedule" and a date that slips on a daily basis (initially 16th, 17th, 18th and now 19th, expect it to slip again tomorrow to the 20th) this date is not even when I receive it but when it arrives at some fulfillment centre. Expected Delivery to me 25th/26th November.

Obviously a little impatient but really don't understand why, for the sake of a Time Capsule, it adds two weeks onto an order. It seems that without the Time Capsule I could have ordered at the beginning of this week and taken delivery today. Really, I wonder if it was it worth pre-ordering?

Oh well, trying to be philosophical about it and appreciate there are others who ordered back in October and still no shipping dates.

For all european buyers, apple is sending the imacs from Holland, my iMac shipped yestarday and arrives tomorrow to spain!!

Ordered a 27"/i5/8GB/2TB on 11/13 (Friday). Spoke with Apple today on another matter and had them check. Went to delivery today, although my order says Ships November on-line. She guessed the 30th for delivery, which is perfect since I'll be out of town next week.

5 days from order to shipped. And I got my printer yesterday. (I'm in Florida, BTW)

Received my shipping notice overnight. They're saying I'll have it by the 24th! If it holds, it will be 11 days from order to iMac in my hands. I'm a happy guy.

Well. I'm at work, so noone was at home to take delivery. I'll be collecting it from the depot tonight when I finish, as well as stopping off at IKEA to grab a desk.

Good luck to the rest of you guys waiting for dispatch. I'm sure it wont take too long now =)

Mines arrived and restoring as we speak. I was missing my 24" imac but not no more lol.

so far so good.

No scratches, funny noises, turbo fan, colour fade etc etc. Its super quiet and just a sexy!

Good times. Now just have to wait for the backup to restore. 2 hours to go!

Oh and ive sourced 4gb of apple kingstone ram for £60 so will go and collect that in a bit! Beats paying what apple wanted. Resellers want £64 per 2gb!!

Surprise...Surprise...Surprise!!!

I went to bed tracking flight FDX24 from AK to Memphis (based on "Departed Anchorage at 3:58 AKST") only to find out it flew instead, directly to Fort Worth! :D That means delivery is TODAY!

It has been since the late '80s that I have had my hands on an Apple product - when in a divorce (my fault) my child-hood sweetheart walked off with my 'original 128k Macintosh'. From there on until now, I went the way of the world - the PC world.

But today I take my first step toward redemption with the arrival of this unit - that I ordered for my wife (which guaranteed her agreement on ordering it). I have MY eyes on the Big Mac (Mac Pro) when it next upgrades to use for video editing.

From there, I am in hopes that the iPhone WILL someday make it to Verizon.

My final step of consecration will be to clear off every last remnant of the Dell peripherals supporting this Dell laptop when I step up to an Apple. Then my conversion will be complete - with no room for backsliding.

It's been a long journey - it feels good to be headed home. :apple:

Ordered the 13th november...nothing yet...i'm getting angry now :( and the quads now are 5-7 days for shipping! This means it could leave starting tomorrow or the beginning of next week...I hope it leaves this week! There is no expedited shipping for Italy and it takes a week or so to get it here in Rome once it leaves china! Ship my iMac Apple!!

Bwuh? Mine now says 'PACKAGE DATA PROCESSED BY BROKERAGE. WAITING FOR CLEARANCE ' with a location of Mount Hope, Ontario. That's where the Hamilton airport is. It can't have gotten here from China that quickly. It's got to be some sort of pre-clearance process.
Ah. It now says 'Departure scan'. That makes more sense.

I'm gettin' pretty darn angry now, when I see all the people who ordered an i7 the last few days. My machine was ordered trough Eplehuset here in Norway, November 2nd, and still nothing.. I don't have the ordernumber, but I keep calling Eplehuset to check if anything's new..

I'm really exited for this maching, I can't wait to trow my Mac Mini 2.26GHz out for sale and get this monster instead.

I'm also exited to see the good results from Geekbench aswell, where it practicly is equal to a Mac Pro.

But the 27" screen with the IPS-panel, I think it was the most beautiful display I've ever seen..

To end this: sorry for whining in this tread, but I'm sick of waiting.. :p And sorry for my grammar, I'm not a native englishspeaking dude, but farely close to it :p
