the date changed. First they said the 28th, now the 27th
also they state that it could be monday.

nuthin..so i called ups. Lady Said package is probably sitting in a hub 60 k from me now, she assured me it Will be delivered before 17.00. Thats 16.00 Greenwich .. But i want it NOW! Just had morning coffee, so delivery now would suit me just fine! She did not buy My arguments..

Same here, I'm on a business trip starting on the 24th. So I'm still hoping that they will deliver the machine on Monday.

Don't understand your question - Assume they Merged the rest of my order yesterday as iMac must have arrived at UK Distribution Centre and and that's when I could start tracking it properly.
No no, I have just ordered an iMac i7. I had previously ordered a 13" MBP (in June) and it was shipped with UPS Ireland and had tons of tracking info from the get go.

So a bit of bad news for those of you who ordered when the estimated shipping date was still just "November". After a chat with the Apple Japan Online Store staff this evening I can confirm that it most definitely is not a 'first come, first served' system.
I realize there are folks in here who ordered in October and still haven't received any information yet. However, I called and informed the sales rep that my order was placed on 11/12 and that the online store now shows 5 to 7 business days for shipping so today is 6 business days. He replied, "yes, but when YOU placed your order the estimated shipping date was just sometime in the month of November"
So now you can understand Apple's game. Yes, they've ramped up production and yes, they've lowered the estimated shipping dates to boost sales for NEW ORDERS as a result. As for those of us who ordered when it was only 'sometime in November' as an estimate we are apparently expendable. They move us back to ship out new orders and so long as we still get ours sometime in November it's fine with them.
I will keep this in mind the next time I order for a new Apple product release (if I ever do). You can wait a few weeks and still beat those who ordered on the date of release. It's bullcrap. Apple should fill all orders in the order they are received, period. End of sentence.
Now it's Friday evening and Monday is a national holiday here in Japan so I don't even need to bother looking for any potential updates to my order until next Tuesday at the earliest. Oh, the payment was processed on November 12th.
