Just to update prior posts, my i7 2TB BTO iMac ordered Nov. 28th shipped late last night. I'm not sure if I have priority or 2-3 day delivery, but Fedex is saying it'll arrive Monday. Fingers crossed it gets here before the weekend, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Still, Monday would be 3 days sooner than the estimated delivery date Apple has been telling me.

Got UPS tracking number and found out it's week 50 unit.

Regarding week number: UPS has whole bunch of reference numbers including, but not limited to, a number that looks like S/N of machine.

My stock i7 ordered on Dec 1 through Apple Online store shipped today (Dec 10) with an estimated delivery date of Dec 15. I can't wait to get my hands on this machine. :)

Is your order a replacement? I ordered mine on 3rd Dec and wanted to know how long it will take them to ship... Apple still lists it as shipping on the 17th:(

Thanks for doing the legwork on this. I just got a new bit of history on Fedex tracking info, an "Int'l shipment release," location Anchorage, AK at 8:05PM on Dec. 10th. First entry is "Picked up" in Shanghai at 10:24 AM on Dec. 10th.

For what it's worth (possibly nothing), the system I ordered (BTO i7) was scheduled to ship on the 14th and actually shipped on the 10th. Seems like they are/were ahead of schedule.

is this thread seriously near 5k posts? incredible!!

congrats to all those that have shiney new quad core imacs :D i have been one of them for nearly 3 weeks and i do not regret it ONE bit!

No, my order is not a replacement but a new one.

When I ordered, the order status was shipping on Dec 15 and delivery by Dec 18. However, it has shipped today (Dec 10). I hope that yours will ship sooner than Dec 17th. Good luck.

I still would like to know how you check your serial number without having the unit in front of you

It is in the invoice. If you have provided your email while ordering through Online Apple Store(I believe email is optional), Apple sends you an invoice to your email when your product is shipped. The serial number is stated in the invoice.

Wouldn't it had updated online if we were on one of those flights? The last thing I have is

"Dec 10, 2009 2:49 PM Left FedEx origin facility SHANGHAI CN"

I can't find any FedEx flights for Friday (since it's already 6:10am Friday morning there), maybe I'm doing something wrong?

If we were to assume that all iMacs ship from Pu Dong Airport (PVG) and if the FlightStats website information is accurate, there are no scheduled FedEx flight departures for Friday, Dec 11 or Saturday, Dec 12 :(

My stock i7 is shipped today with the estimated delivery on Dec 15 to the US but it missed the FedEx cuttoff.

It's also on the AppleCare contract, if you got one. If you have one, there's a PDF copy stored on Apple's site, and there's the paper copy they send to you.

Purchased i7 27" iMac through Apple's site on Black Friday. Saved 101 bucks.

Original order status was iMac would ship Dec 11th and be at my house on Dec 16th.

Received an email 2 days ago from APPLE saying it would ship on the 9th and be here on the 14th. Sweet, 2 day early.

When I check FedEx tracking site, it says shipped on the 9th and be at my house on the 11th.

It's currently in Anchorage, AL, where it's 17 degrees fahrenheit. Great.

I also have a week 50 machine.

You can also look it up on your order status page on Apple's website (click "View Order Details" and then "Print all invoices").
