Waiting for 27" Quad to SHIP thread

Mine has also been sitting in Anchorage since 2:47pm EST, no way it will be delivered to me tomorrow (I am in the northeast), as it will now go to Memphis and then on to my location. If FedEx wouldn't have screwed up my pick up in Shanghai on the 8th, the iMac would already be in my hands....

Purchased i7 27" iMac through Apple's site on Black Friday. Saved 101 bucks.

Original order status was iMac would ship Dec 11th and be at my house on Dec 16th.

Received an email 2 days ago from APPLE saying it would ship on the 9th and be here on the 14th. Sweet, 2 day early.

When I check FedEx tracking site, it says shipped on the 9th and be at my house on the 11th.

It's currently in Anchorage, AL, where it's 17 degrees fahrenheit. Great.

I also have a week 50 machine.

That is about 9:47 Alaska time. If the plane gets off in the early PM it should get to Memphis about mid-night or so. Flight from Memphis to your east coast FedEx sort center ealry AM on Friday... could happen for you...
 
I have 2 day delivery. It shipped 3am my time on Thursday. I wonder why they don't have Saturday delivery for fedex. Or do they? If they do, why am I getting my iMac on Monday. Boooo
 
Well just got home from work and no big brown box in the foyer. somehow I knew it would not get here today even though UPS said that it would. sigh.
appears to be sitting in Mount Hope Ontario right now but not sure as that update is kinda old now. Another sleepless night followed by a long long day tomorrow, hope it happens Friday so I can play all weekend.
Our son was born a few weeks after the new release, well, he is off to university now:D

5000 post, and I have read every one of them waiting for this beast.
 
I gave up waiting for the thing to go up on EPP Store and just ordered it now from the education store. Base i7 model no additions or changes. Says ships by Dec 24, delivers by 4th. (I'm in Toronto)

Got this update:

Which makes that about 1:39am EST, I'm not sure why it hasn't updated again since I'm pretty sure it hasn't been in transit in China for 7 hours.

Also I found this FedEx flight that JUST left Pu Dong Airport:

Departure: 9:24 PM - Fri Dec 11, 2009 (8:24AM Dec 11 EST)
Route: From (PVG) Shanghai, CN to (ANC) Anchorage, AK, US
Duration: 8h 23m .

If any of us are on that flight then our iMacs could be in the US around 4pm EST.

Also there's FedEx 84 which has the same departure except it leaves at 9:47 PM (8:47am EST) !
 
If my package is now at the city I'm in's Fedex facility at 8:15am is there a chance I could be getting it today? The website still says Estimated Delivery on the 14th which is Monday. But it's been checked in this morning! Will it go on a truck?? This is delivering to a commercial office.

Edit: "On FedEx vehicle for delivery" YES!!

I am hoping mine ships early like yours did - but I am not holding out much hope for that.

i7, wired keyboard w/ number pad. Shipping date: Dec. 21 Est. Arrival: Dec 24
 
Is another week of waiting, since the bad dealer to Apple Store ordering to now, already the 3rd week, more than 20 days....... hope the i7 will be delivering soon........

Just got the confirmation about my new i7, first one had to much yellow tingle in it.

Order date: 11/12
expected sent date: 28/12
expected delivery date: 04/01

I hope that it will be a beter iMac!
 
A few weeks with the new i7 now, it was made in week 47. No problems at all, and as fast as I hoped it would be.

Glad to hear that the number of people experiencing problems is dropping off fairly drastically.

You still haven't received yours Dude! Wow that's F- up I hope they compensate you greatly for this. I waited a month and got free upgrade to 8 ram few weeks into it, and then after it was delivered, an Ipod Nano. Go get em!
 
My i7 BTO (with 2 TB HD) was just delivered. Ordered 11/28, got shipment email just after 12:10am on 12/10 (the night after it changed to "prepared for shipment"), and delivered in Brooklyn at 3:30pm on 12/11. Per Apple's original estimate it, was scheduled to ship on 12/14 and be delivered 12/17. FedEx estimated it would be delivered 12/14 up until the time they showed up at my apartment (though I called the local distribution center a few hours ago and they said it would come today).

I'm not sure if I had priority or 2-3 day shipping - I tried to change it to priority through Apple after it was prepared for shipment, but Apple said it was too late (though they did change it to priority in their system at no charge, they told me it didn't affect the scheduled delivery date).

Now dying to get home to unbox it. Frankly it boggles my mind that this thing made it from Shanghai to Anchorage to Memphis to Newark to Brooklyn in about 37 hours. Big up to FedEx and Apple.
 
How the heck did that happen

I ordered on the 3rd and mine is still not yet shipped. Never mind I thought you said you ordered on the 8th.

Yoooooo Brooklyn! Not like there walking it there lol! Maybe they got lucky but fed x sucks and they lie right to your face 3/4 of the time! Glad someone had a good experience with them. Enjoy your New Imac.
 
I'm a little mad that BTO's ordered a day after me are already being delivered and mines still in china and it's stock. I had priority shipping too.
 
Hmm..... December 5th order of an i7 iMac while nothing has changed in order status( still "Not Yet Shipped"), it seems my credit card has been charged for the computer. So signs are mine might ship soon........

I'm in the US and I have the same dates as you. I made the order today (Dec 11).

EDIT: In light of the fact that week 50 machines still have defects, I cancelled my order.
 
i7 4850, Ordered 30th nov, shipped today 12th dec, ETA: 14th dec (France)

Just looked at the invoice, week 50 machine, hope it's a good one.

Also took apple care & Remote, which will be send separately -_-
