Got my stock i7 today (Lonon UK), placed the order on Black Friday. Box is a little battered but everything looks OK inside (no cracked screen). Will check it out further tonight (hopefully its not DOA, dead pixels or yellow tinge). :D

Not sure what is going on, Mine was suppose to Arrive on the 29th, and just got confirmation it will be here on the 18th, from past experience I will get it on the 16th or 17th (coming to london).

Now fingers crossed this one does not flicker

i7 1TB BTW

At least I know to look out for a UPS VAN!

All I have is the same info that appeared on Saturday night:

Carrier Tracking Number
In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly.
Assigned Carrier

Well, I did just call Apple and they did admit that the demand is incredibly high right now. Actual build time for BTO is 3 days, but then there's the issue of the queue. The rep is going to try and put a rush on it, as it is a replacement, but they couldn't guarantee anything. I'm not expecting it before Jan.

As for UK tracking - yep, it's rubbish. I got my UPS tracking number at 8pm the night before it arrived at my door.

Did they say if they'd add a nice something extra for your trouble?
I've seen comments about free upgrades or iPod's etc, - you must be due something especially if they miss Xmas.

Ordered: Dec 7th - i7 w/ wired num keyboard and 3 day shipping
Est. Ship: Dec 21
Est Arriv: Dec 24

Just got notification -
Shipped Dec 14 via FEDEx est delivery Dec 17th

Lucky bastard. :D

I ordered the same day, same config (but wireless keyboard, shouldn't make a difference) and my dates have not changed! :(

Where on the invoice does it show week number?

My December 1, I5 stock shipped on the 14th picked up at 9:47 a.m. but then shows again as picked up at 9:07 p.m. after Fedex cutoff. When does this eventually leave China?

That's good news - you were wondering what was happening just a few days ago:cool:

I don't have any carrier details, so nothing to do but wait. Pretty funny my i7 had "shipped" on the 12th and I still have no info and yours is arriving any day now. :D

Quite happy to wait until next week TBH - waiting for delivery could be difficult this week.

Go to the apple site and select print invoice on order status or check the invoice that was e-mailed to you - it should have a serial number clearly stated on it. The week is Wxx50 or whatever the 3rd and 4th numbers are.

I'm looking at the "duplicate invoice" on the Apple accounts site.

Under Description (second column in) it should say:

IMAC 27"/4850-512MB
Serial Number:
W8950XXXXXX

From what I've read here the 9 is for 2009, the 50 is week 50
Hope this helps.

For those waiting on a week 50 machine, I'm happy to report that my week 50 i7, received Friday, is tip top. No flickering, no yellowing, no loud HD (came with a 2TB Hitachi, and I did not reinstall OSX), no dead pixels. I did have an issue with the keyboard and mouse being recognized immediately following a reboot but they eventually connected and it may have been a one-off occurrence. It's enormous, quiet, beautiful, and fast.

Well the i7 came. Week 49 no yellow that i can see, it's quiet and hasn't got a cracked screen, just 27 inches of gorgeousness. :)

Received my stock i7 this morning (Ordered on Dec 1st). It is a week 50 machine. I have checked for the all the problems reported in the forums and it is perfect. No screen flickering, no yellow tinge, no HD noise etc., I am very happy. Good luck to all who are waiting. :)

It is a mystery as to why others that have ordered on Dec 7th + 8th have orders that are "preparing to ship", whereas my order is still just sitting there. Stock i7, ordered in the US.

You may even get it earlier than me considering your in mainland Europe - The reports of problem free week 49-50 deliveries is encouraging, lets hope the trend continues!

I Know!! To be honest was more than happy to wait for delivery but just happy to know the goods are in transit, my impatience coupled with the previous 'not yet shipped' status is not a good combination!

My house smells of new imac. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Very refreshing, week 48, stock i5. no dead pixels, no yellowing, no flickering, HD youtube worked perfect. Thats all I have for now. I just wanted to set people at ease and have them hear of a good imac experience. Knock on wood it stays that way.
