Can I fully replace the mice with the tablet ? How do I do for double click and secondary button ? Is the medium not better for selecting and copy/paste ? How is the touch for fingers ?
Lol ok one by one. Yes you can replace them but I would suggest it as it gets annoying ( unless that's what ur looking for ). There are to buttons on the tablet pen, u can assign whatever u want to them, right click, left click, etc. The medium and small cover the same amount of screen real estate. It's just that I find with bigger monitors (20" +) it is a lot easier to manouver around ur screen with the small tablet much faster than on the medium tablet, also with less wrist movement, by that I mean having to lift ur wrist off of the table and moving it. As for fingers, the tablet itself does not respond to fingers, u have to use the pen.
Congrats to those with I5's that are shipping.

I ordered my I7 on Oct 20th at 10:15 AM and stiil no go.
Just got off the phone with Apple and got the same answer as others have....You will know as soon as we do and we have no idea what the delay is.
He did upgrade my shipping for free though.
If they are releasing these based on queue order, then I should be one of the first to get my I7. I'll keep you posted.

These are lynfield parts and have been available for a long time.
Apple is a small player for intel so supply cannot be the issue.

These are meant to be the mid-tier products.
The 4850 is also a last gen GPU and not that expensive also.

So what is the holdup? It really pains me to see Apple behind everyone in delivering technology. Even their laptop lines all lag what is available from other manufacturers.
I guess the Iphone is their main focus now and mac development is second. This is just sad.
The iphone os has not changed much after almost 3 years of development. At this pace Android will completely outpace Iphone in 6 months.

Dark, Wacom released in September new Bamboo tablets.. they are now touch. Apparently, similar to the macbook trackpads. They do react to the fingers.... and not all of them come with a pen now.
I'm quite curious to see if they work well too. I have the older version of the Bamboo tablet, which is the one that doesn't react to fingers, but if it does work like a trackpad, I might get one to replace the mouse on the iMac, since I'm used to having my trackpad...

It's a matter of preference, of course, but I do find that the pen works better than a mouse for Photoshop... or any software similar to Photoshop. It's just like pen and paper... less awkward than a mouse. However, for the size, it would be better to try them out, if you could. I have one of both (heh), and I'm still not sure which one I prefer.

I purchased my core i5 (basic config) on the 29th of October and they took the full amount the next day.
However, mines still hasn't shipped - I can still cancel it.

I think Europe has to wait.
Maybe there are too many variables to give a specific shipping date for people with i7's. That being said i think Apple reps should give more detail instead of them giving us absolutely nothing regarding shipping for peace of mind at least.

Because i originally ordered an i5(W65601903)on nov 3rd but cancelled last min for the i7(W65674599)on nov 7th. Are that many people ordering? Can anyone verify this?

My order starts with W655, and I ordered on the 30th. However, it's important to note that any order starts with those... I ordered something else seperately, about 10 minutes after, and the order number jumped by 212... so... any order will be included in that, not just the iMacs, or any computer in general. Any item in any of the stores will continue down the order number list. (first order was with work, the other order was with school... so two different 'stores')
Quad core i5 with order number W6533 (ordered on Oct. 20th)... still says "November" as the estimate. But I did just call to ask the "status" of my order (really to get expedited 2-day shipping) and it worked, so thanks for the advice on this forum!! I was nicely told about how I can check the status online without having to call (duh, but that won't get me 2-day shipping for free... lol).
