My Core i7 iMac (4GB RAM) is prepared for shipment. I am from the UK. I ordered via the Higher Education store. Here's a screenshot of my order details if it helps anyone assess the possible status of theirs.

what would be interesting is to see how long an order takes to get to "prepared for shipment" stages now. will it take 20-odd days like the original buyers? or will it be less? i sure hope its less

i orded on ath aussie apple store order number W5743XXXX it was around 7 to 8 am melb time the day they were anounced

My order starts with W9xxxxxxx and its for Scotland
and I placed it on the 4 November. Still estimated "November".Congrats - Now this is getting me excited. i am from the UK.. Status is "not yet shipped", and my order ref is begins W9134. looks like they are slowly working their way through

the custom configuration of that is probably what's keeping it.
Are you sure they took full payment ? It happened to me as well and I phoned Apple UK and she said that the money is still in the bank but I cannot see it because they put it aside reserved for the iMac.
