Waiting for 27" Quad to SHIP thread

Today, I called the local Apple store near me and the guy that I talked with said that the quad-core iMacs are in pipeline. He went on to say that the earliest that the stores would receive them would be the following day or it could take 1 week. He also said that they wouldn't know until they get and unbox the delivery from UPS. I have definitely been waiting to know when the stores would get them in stock.
Applecare is a must-have if you plan on keeping your computer for at least 3 years. I swap out computers every year and half or so. Even then, I still get it because of a couple of reasons:
1) Apple support is the OMGFTWBESTINTHEWORLDGOATPIE
2) Resale value spikes up if the iMac is under warranty.
Try to get a student to buy it for you..its cheaper!
Hell yeah!!! To pay the extra $170 on a $2200 machine and get a full 3-year warranty AND support instead of a measly 1 year... I would say it's certainly worth it!
i plan on purchasing it sometime in the next 90 days. Even tho you have a whole year to add it on to your iMac.
We're talking...well..definitely over $100

I guess you could say this is a pretty good sign !!!

on October 22nd on the Apple Online Store in Germany. Here is

No applecare. My visa adds 1 year to warranty (not phone support, obv) for free. See cnet article on extended warranties. (Took too many economics classes...)
HMMMMM some charges just hit my card (core i7 order) but this is whats showing......

Yes. I purchased it for my MacBook and it paid for itself the first time I took it in. Not to scare anyone but on my MacBook I've had the screen replaced due to a couple dead pixels, the SuperDrive replaced (they did it when I sent the computer off bc of the screen. I didn't know it was going out they found it) the logic board replaced, and the top case (the part that has the keyboard and trackpad) replaced twice bc of it chipping where the magnets hold the screen closed. Now one of thes repairs would have been more than or just as much as the AppleCare and it's nice bc I have an apple store 20min away from me. My comp will be 2 years old at the end of December. So IMHO it is definitely worth the extra now so if anything freak happens after the first year your still covered, and I've noticed with anything that is used heavily daily does start to show wear after that year mark.

I didn't know T-Mobile was offered in Germany. Learn something new everyday! Congrads on your order changing!
LOL as far as I know T-Mobile is a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom from Germany
What App is that on your iPhone?
Sales tax charge, maybe, or expedited delivery charges? Probably making sure that the account is still active, or something like that, before prepping your iMac for shipment.

first thing I did this morning was check my order status and also to see if they had taken payment from my CC card, but there has been no change
