Prepared for shipment as of the morning Nov. 10.

shipping status

So I have an i7 on order, and when I check my order status via website, it says the order is yet shipped. However, when I check the orders status via 1-800-676-2775, it says my order is preparing for ship.

What does that mean?

I ordered an i7 the 20th of october. I live in Norway.

Just talked to an Apple rep and she said they will not be shipped out before the last week of November. Also, they will already be sent as express.
(In the Norwegan Apple store we get free shipping on every purchase above $180ish, and we can't upgrade it anywhere when we order)

That it will ship sometime in November. :D

Simple,

Either it is not yet shipped or prepared for shipment. Only time and patience will tell...:apple:

It means Apple has no idea what to say... I just called the number and the electronic voice said it was prepared for shipping but the person I was transferred to said it was not prepared for shipping and they have no idea when it will be prepared for shipping and online it says not yet shipped.

Today, I called the local Apple store near me and the guy that I talked with said that the quad-core iMacs are in pipeline. He went on to say that the earliest that the stores would receive them would be the following day or it could take 1 week. He also said that they wouldn't know until they get and unbox the delivery from UPS. I have definitely been waiting to know when the stores would get them in stock.

Hey Thanks for the update. I have been waiting as well xD

Finally a pertinent post.....

While everyone is fretting over whether their i7 is not shipped, prepared for shipping, or shipped, check out OneFingerDiscount. They are offering quite a few decent MAC software programs at a 20% discount directly from the developer.

My i7 has not shipped nor is it prepared for shipment, but as of this morning my remote is prepared for shipment.

Order number W654xxxx, Ordered on Oct 28th. Stock i7.

My standard i5 still hasn't been shipped.. I ordered the 21st of October.. I also added a remote, time capsule and printer.. I guess that would be the hold up or something.. or maybe they aren't shipping the orders form The Netherlands out yet?

It seems they're first shipping the first ordered.
did you order on release day?

Not true. I ordered mine last night, shipped out this morning. :D

At this time the following item is in my cart:

IMAC 27"/2.66QC/2X2GB/1TB/4850-512MB-DEU

I bet, if I had ordered the iMac with US-layout, I'd get it earlier. :D

Same here. As of this morning, the remote is prep'd for shipment, but no movement on the iMac.
