Waiting for 27" Quad to SHIP thread

Update: My i5 has shipped from Shanghai! FedEx tracking number assigned, and it has left the building. Estimated delivery to Ohio is Friday the 13th (!) WooHoo!!!!!
Standard Core i5 iMac with no other options, ordered at 2:19 P.M. on Oct 30th. Order number is W655xxxxx. As of right now, the money is still in my checking account, but I expect that to change soon.

Oh, and I just got the shipping confirmation email from Apple.

My order of the i7 changed from prepared to shipment to in processing. Not sure what either mean or if my order has moved back to the line. Weird.
I ordered the printer and remote along with this order and received those somewhat immediately. I ordered the i7 on the 20th.
"In Processing," sounds like they just received an order, doesn't it? Where "Prepared for Shipment." Sounds like it about to leave the wearhouse. What gives?

My i7 just changed in my order status on the Apple website to prepared for shipment!!!! Woo! I also cannot cancel anymore. I ordered on the 20th around 2PM
I'm in Jersey just outside Philly. Interesting that I ordered the printer actually on a seperate order and received it the next day. The remote I received last week and that was placed the same time as the iMac.
Shipping
Seeing others get their iMacs shipped while others wait is like standing in line waiting to be picked for a team for kickball.
My guess is that shipments will be more of a priority to US customers bc apple is a US corporation... Just my thoughts. Still no change on my shipping for my custom i7. I live in the US.

I might be missing something but your order doesn't appear to state Prepared for Shipping? Unless you called in your order and heard that.
This makes me VERY angry. My money is the same as the one you use. I mean, ok...we use euros but I PAYED to get something and it seems unfair we get treated worse than you...
Anger might make me switch to a basic i5 from my C2D with HD4850
Which C2D did you go with, 3.06 or 3.33? If it was the 3.33 it is cheaper to get the i5 rather than the C2D with the HD4850. If you ordered the 3.06 it is only like an extra $150 for the i5. If you can afford the 27'' C2D with the HD4850, you can afford the i5. See how easy that is, go with the i5!

But the thing is actually a present!! And I payed for the extra video card using my last funds ^^ And btw they're not shipping here in Italy yet...don't know if I might convince my parents to upgrade to i5 in the mean time!

This morning, I was confused because Apple.com showed "Prepared For Shipment" while Apple.de (German Apple Store) still told me "Not Yet Shipped/Noch nicht versendet".
But now I got the official Apple EMail that my iMac has shipped and Apple.com AND Apple.de now tell me that my iMac is on its way !

And the coolest thing is - although I am sceptical about it - that Apple told me in its EMail that the iMac will be delivered this week! "Wir bestätigen, dass Ihre Bestellung voraussichtlich am oder vor dem 13.11.2009 an Ihre Lieferadresse geliefert wird."
I don't think I'll be able to sleep for some days to come !!!

!!!Why do you think that? He has a big blue banner on the order header that says "Prepared for shipment"
Except for the fact that America is the largest customer base for Apple. Not sure why you would be upset that an American company would be shipping to American customers first?

You could always not open it when you get it, march down to your Apple store with unopened box and with your $150 in hand and ask to upgrade to the i5.
So I just tried to add a gift message to my i7 (since it shows I can still do that), I figured if I can't see a "prepared to ship" sign I should at least add a "Happy Birthday to Christina, Love Christina" message.
Nope. Won't let me update. Which strikes me as a good sign, if I can't update that, then the order must be too far along to even add in a message.
I'm hopeful!

Been watching this thread since the beginning. I ordered my i7 iMac on the 20th @ 11:20am. I'm in Arizona.
Woke up this morning and say my status has changed on the website from "Ships: November" to "Prepared for Shipment". I also noticed I can no longer cancel my order.
Here's hoping the i7's are on their way.
