Sigh. Been refreshing quite literally all day, still no sign of movement. I'll resent the words 'not yet shipped' for the rest of my life.

On the plus side, it's getting late here in the EST, and I will more than likely have some good news to look forward to in the morning. Maybe even a tracking number? One can hope.

And, if I'm not mistaken, a few people here might be getting deliveries tomorrow? I'm very interested in seeing some benchmarks / first impressions of the i7.

And before I forget... I actually had a dream about my new iMac last night. It was actually like a kind of scary dream. I had just turned it on for the first time, and it was making this buzzing noise, and the screen was flickering really bad. I spent my whole dream trying to fix it. Talk about weird.

Hope it doesnt become a De Ja Vu. hahaha

Mine is W5750 - Stock standard i7 in Sydney. Ordered 1 November.

Hey - has your imac shipped already or has it entered "prepared for shipment"?

Order status just changed to "Prepared for Shipment.

Ordered an i7 with 4GB RAM on 10/20, then changed it to 8GB on 10/21.
W653, AZ

Taking the week off next week for vacation now I know what I will be doing.

Woo hoo!

Ordered Core i7 model Nov 5th (stupid me I cancelled the order from 10/20th thinking I wanted the 21 inch model). Just noticed that I had a authorization to my AMEX for $2320, which is $20 more than the cost of the machine I ordered.

Does this mean I am soon to ship? Anyone have previous authorizations to credit card without actual shipment soon after?

Thanks for replies! I am kicking myself for canceling my original order....

Ah. Finally, a change in shipment status. If you've noticed I've posted a few times today. I've even called Apple about my i7.

Word to the wise don't even bother talking to the sales reps about the shipment. I was given wrong information.

I called to enquire about my shipment and when my order would ship and what the status would be. Danielle from Apple stated that my order was "tested" and wouldn't ship until after the 14th. The status was then to change to "Prepared for Shipment."

Well then after taking another view of my order status I now see that the order is "Prepared for Shipment." Obviously Danielle didn't have a clue or was misinformed about how to discuss shipment enquires.

Early today the order status was "Not yet Shipped," and now it states "Prepared for Shipment." This wasn't suppose to occurr until after the 14th. Well I'm actually happy that the sales rep in this situation was wrong. Maybe looking at a delivery date before the weekend.

I just recieveed my "Thanks for purchasing your Mac." email. I saw it was an email from Apple flash on the bottom the screen and I thought ...this is it shipment notice.. This is driving me nuts. It's like a kid on christmas eve except I'm refreshing the apple store status and reading this forum instead of watching Rudolf and Frosty :D

Now I just got another 5 min later "Shop smarter this holiday at the Apple Store." they are messin with my emotions now

Hey guys, I'm posting from the future in the year 2016.

Apple just released their latest iMac. Here are the specs:

3.69THz
1PB SSD
128GB RAM
ATI Tersig 64GB

And the sleekest form factor, yet. It's gorgeous! Sorry I can't post a picture through the space-time continuum.

That's all for now.

And here we go!!! Not sure if it's the first Aussie i7 out there but my status juuust changed to "Prepared for shipment". Order #W5746, stock i7 in the basic config... and after 3 weeks this first status change is quite a rush! I really feel like a small kid waiting for Santa

Just got a message from Apple: 'Thanks for purchasing your Mac."

All excited, I opened it, hoping for shipping info. Alas, it was just a generic welcome message pointing one to explanations and support.

I need to go to sleep. This is getting me all wound up. :)

Didn't you know? The Dream Computer is always the equivalent of $5000, the Dream Computer You're Likely To Buy is always the equivalent of $3000, and the Commodity Computer You Get At Work is always the equivalent of $1000. :)

tomorrow

I hope I wake up tomorrow with a prepared for shipment or even better a tracking number for my i7 tomorrow morning and I hope the rest of you do too!

I got em too. I saw I had three emails from Apple and my heart stopped.
But I got the "thanks for purchasing you mac" email, and the "shop smarter this holiday" I got twice.
I think I might sue for the years that took off my life!

Ha ha yeah I immediately checked to see if the status changed on my i7 after I received the same email to no avail. I order an i7 with everything standard except the wired numeric keyboard on Oct. 31 and I'm still waiting. Oh and I'm in Alberta, Canada. The sad thing is that I've read every single post in this thread while I wait in anticipation.

I'm patient though and I'd rather Apple did things like this (i.e. release the comp after some bugs have been tweaked) rather then release it with a ton of problems. I've had to deal with that since Win3.1 and I'm glad I'm finally making the switch.

And wow some of the people in this thread need to relax, it's a computer for gods sake. There are lots of things to keep you preoccupied... like reading this thread.

Kind of adding insult to injury. The message says, we can't wait to show you around. I am like, yes, so would I if you shipped me the darn thing.

A Mac is simply more than a computer ! It has a gorgeous display, the speed of a snow leopard, etc... bref, I should stop. I am as well getting nuts. I feel that I will get my iMac next year. Snif,... I am loosing faith.

Apple is killing me. Just after I posted this, I get an email from Apple

"We wanted to let you know that your order has shipped." My status has said tha the remote would ship November 24th and deliver on December 2nd. The iMac always said November. Now the remote is shipping November 11th, and supposed to arrive on the 18th. I thought it was the iMac shipping. What am I supposed to do with the remote?

Core i7, ordered October 20th. Location is Edmonton, Canada

Shipment Date:
11 Nov, 2009

Delivers by:
18 Nov, 2009

Not too happy with the 'delivers by' date considering I paid for expedited shipping. Gonna have to give Apple a call tomorrow and ask about this. Not that I mind if it takes a week to get here, but considering I paid an extra $43 for 2-3 day shipping I ought to get that refunded if they can't actually honour it.

I got a tracking number :)

i7 4GB 1TB Wired Keyboard with Numeric Keypad (Z0GF)

Ordered Oct 20 (W6531XXXX)

FedEx estimated delivery date of Nov 13 in Ohio, USA.

Hope this helps others.
