Waiting for 27" Quad to SHIP thread

As i ordered mine through DJs i dont have a order number to check every 5 minuites so im living vicariously through other Aussie Quad owners!
I keep checking my iphone every 10 minuites for missed calls and to make sure it hasnt flicked onto silent... how sad!
This is my first real mac, and i wouldnt even have a clue how to use it, but im very excited all the same for it to get here!
 
How can it be

I ordered my i7 iMac from the Danish Education Store on october 21st, just a stock i7 with no other changes made to it than the addition of iWork.
My order number starts with W91.... and I've noticed that people who have bought through the American store up to several days after me have W5... or w6... order numbers, and have had their orders shipped already.
So I don't think Apple are prioritizing different countries equally, to me it seems that American orders are definitely being favored :(
Has anyone from outside had their orders shipped, or even prepared for it?

Edit: When check my order through the danish store, I'm still told "Not yet shipped", but when I check it through the american it says "Prepared for shipping", very strange, It probably comes down to the slowness of the danish store
 
Mine is Now Shipping! Sort Of

yeah i have a shipment coming my way....my remote that is...imac i7 to be delivered sometime in the coming year. i can now sit quietly, alone and point my remote at a vacant spot on my desk and dream of what might have been...

My iMac i5 also says prepared for shipment.

Ordered on the 21th of october in Switzerland :D

Just receieved the tracking #. It was sitting at "Prepared for Shipment" for about 4 hours, then moved to "Shipped on 11/11"
 
My BTO C2D/HD4850 still not yet shipped, ships: November. I guess it's normal, BTO takes longer and i'm in Italy too...guess that is important too. Hope they ship this week though!

Have you tried to check it through the american store?
Maybe you will find that the italian store is lagging behind just as it seems the danish store is.

Hi,
I ordered from the UK education store on 22nd & like you on the US site since yesterday afternoon I've had the 'PFS', but on the UK one still 'NYS'. I think who gets what where depends on logistics-the numbers are greater in US & ?Australia than Europe so probably it's down to filling planes.
It is very frustrating though-I was hoping for a change this morning but nothing! I'm suffering from newMac fever that can only be eased by the application of shipping notification & cured by white-van-man arriving with my beautiful new i7.
Congratulations to everyone who's had shipping notifications-here's hoping for good news for us in Europe today.

Yes I did, thanks anyways. I read about the other stores lagging yesterday so i started checking on the US one yesterday. I ordered and payed my new iMac the 27th October, 7 in the morning here :D (My last iMac was the G3 or G4...the first green all in one :D still have it somewhere).

How do you guys do that ? I use FireFox and when I login to my account under Apple UK, it actually shows that I am on Apple US. I tried the same on Apple US and of course I am still on Apple US under my account. The URLs of both sites are the same when I check my order.

Ordered my i5 on 25th Oct. over the AppleOnCampus Store... sadly my order status is still unchanged :confused:

I start to think that apple will ship the AoC orders later... damn

Same HERE! Ordered on 24th Oct.

Ordered through Poseidon EPFL (Swiss Tech of Lausanne) Store (-15/18%) + AppleCare 40% off!

Go check your status on the US Apple Store and you'll see the Prepared for Shipment. On the Swiss Apple Store I still have : Not Yet shipped but the Cancel Button is unavailable right now! ;)

Dang - I'm in the Uk and ordered a stock i7 same day as you (albeit 3 hours later) and nothing. Only can see a 'prepared for shipment' via the US store.

Just checked UK site and it SAYS SHIPPED 11th for delivery 17th!

AT LAST!

i7 on it's way to the UK (ordered 21st Oct)

I thought I should have ordered it the day it was released too but it doesn't seem to change anything...

Order on 23.10.09 and it seems to be prepared for the shipment, hopefully it'll be shipped this week... ;) I can't wait to have it!

Bambooisland: Is your order prepared for shipment too (On the US Apple Store)?
