I did a run workout today and the export with HealthFit is completely broken. I've contacted the dev and he's looking into it, but I suspect the issue is on Apple's side.

Later I did a 2 hour long indoor walk of about 8km and the watch counted 950 active calories, or 1190 overall. I think that's waaaaay off lol.
Seems a bit high but not impossible. You might want to check these points again.

Indoor cycling and functional strength training seem to be working fine, my numbers make sense.

Absolutely happened to me on a regular basis

Interesting. What kind of "regular" are we talking? Daily? Weekly? Could you make out a pattern how / in which situations that happened to you?

Also, did it annoy you to the point that you filed a complaint with Apple? (Because a lot of those seems to be the running theory as to why Apple may have done this.)

Completely see the value to you. I’d imagine though Apple made the change to try to balance the user experience for everyone. Maybe a combination of dedicated faces tied to focus mode and widgets might mitigate some of the change?

Much easier to really balance it, though: make it a user-accessible setting. So simple, yet so un-Apple.

I'll make do, of course. I like the Watch way too much to give it up. At least that super-fun Snoopy face will make the OS 10 pill a little easier to swallow.

Which goes to show that „accidental“ Watch face changes aren‘t really a thing …

My wife does it once in a while, but not a big thing at all. I change faces several times a day so would not be ideal to have that action be more cumbersome.

I need to take your approach with the faces though - Do you have more of the same faces but with different complications for different times a day?

Yep, that's exactly how I was using it till now.

Export to where?
Strava, Runalyze and Intervals.icu.
I'll do another interval run workout tomorrow and see if it's still broken or not... I'm using a newer version of HealthFit now, the dev invited me to a TestFlight.

Strava, Runalyze and Intervals.icu.
You can set Strava up to grab Apple Workouts “automatically”, though that wouldn’t help with the other two. I put automatically in quotes because it will supposedly happen without you needing to do anything, but I always have to open Strava on my phone before the workout imports.

Any cyclists here? I connected my Quarq power meter to the watch yesterday and it did, in fact, capture power and cadence data. I can’t seem to show power metrics on the phone, but I’ve added them to the data screens on the watch. The issue that I see is that unless I’m missing a setting or an integration with a third party app, power and cadence aren’t exported (to Strava or Training Peaks, for example). Anyone know how to do that?

I used RunGap back before Strava got native Apple Workout import - is that one not working for you?

Haven't tried RunGap yet, I'll give the HealthFit developer a chance to correct the situation on his side first.

The issue arose when I had poor GPS reception during an Outdoor Run workout and some sections were missing, to which the developer responded with this:
The issue for .FIT file is that there is one record for each GPS location, hence when there is gap between GPS locations, there is no record, the other data is missing as well.

Hey guys, I’m thinking of trying to get a battery replacement for my S7 before apple care + expires, but with the beta, I remember at least someone saying after a restore or something the apple apps did not install, so, do you think it can be done, making the backups and the upgrading the new watch to os 10 and then I think restoring to add the backup? (As I understand for other reviewers for those hardware changes being in beta software it’s not a important factor)

Strava doesn't pull over all the details that Healthfit does. So if you want all the details, like cadence and power, use Healthfit. My numbers that Healthfit's pulling over while on the beta seem normal.

First time visiting this thread, and I’m not gonna read all 513 posts, so I apologize if this has already been mentioned.

Battery life on my AWU has been awful since installing the first beta on day 1. I used to get almost two full days, and have been getting barely 1. Kids sucks, but not unexpected.

So, last night I was just randomly looking at different apps and settings on my watch and noticed that for some reason I no longer had a sleep goal set. Sleep focus was still set as usual, but not the number of hours.

I set it to 6 hours of sleep (really wish I could sleep more. lol) and now if the battery complication is to be believed, I’m back to a full two days of battery life.

Not sure if this is a magic trick or not, but that’s to only thing I member changing.

Have iCloud messages been working for anyone. Pre OS 10, sms based syncing would never sync deletes on the watch.

- - Edit. This has apparently been silently resolved in watchOS 9.

Yeah WatchOS 10 public beta is pretty broken for me. I can’t open the music app, it keeps telling me storage is full but I can’t view the storage tab on my phone to see what is filling it up. The battery drains to 0 from 80% overnight for three nights straight. So I am stuck with a watch that is kinda useless for workouts and that I have to charge 4 times a day.

Okay I finally got the storage tab loaded. It’s storing 20GB of something unknown that doesn’t show up in the log. Very strange.

Did you notice if your vo2 max updated in apple health after using your power meter ?

Flat. But I’ve only done two rides with it. Mostly I use my Edge 1040.

For reference, my vo2 max with Garmin is between 55-58 depending. So, Apple has always been lower. I’m a cyclist, not a runner!

Btw both Garmin sensors (speed & cadence v2) work perfectly via bluetooth with AWU :)

Yep! I’ve got my Garmin pedals hooked up, too. It’s recording the data, I just don’t see where it’s exporting power data.
