You need to have at least three times per workout type before it shows up in the activity app. If you done it 28 times/days a percentage and score can be given alongside your Vitals from your Apple Watch sleep data.

Of gosh! So if you don’t workout 28 days, it won’t show up on the face complication?

Yea it will show Needs more Data. It will also show like that if you only tried a new workout type or get back on it after a while for only a few days.

Yeah, I noticed that too. It didn't do that on watchOS 10, so it's hard to tell if it's a watchOS 11 bug or a feature.

It's a new feature called Live Activities. I use it all the time now as my replacement for the old Siri watch face. You can Control it in Settings > Smart Stack.

Well Live Activities is an addition yes, but only part of what we are talking about. Not the widgets screen doesn’t go back to the watch face when your wrist is down. That’s a new setting in watchOS 11.

So I just checked it’s a setting to leave the widget screen on when your wrist is down. So here to stay.

So if I do the same workout for a few days, will I start to get data on that side?
Yes, even upon update to watchOS 11 all existing workout data since you set up your Apple Watch will roll over there. I had a couple of years worth of Activity data from my two Apple Watches , 7 years from my old one and a few months with my new one and it put together the Training load from the preexisting workouts over the last 28 days before the update, minus ratings.

Since updating in June all my workouts have been rated. I have been using Fitness+ since my upgrade to the S6 earlier in the year.

Interesting, I had workouts before the update but they weren’t consistent 28 days in row. I went back and rated as many as I could, and it didn’t seem to change anything. This morning I woke up and it says 1/28 days. So I guess I have to wait 28 days. Curious if I don’t do a workout at all if it still measures that day.

AWU1. The battery graph is kinda broken in the watch settings. It says it was last charged to 94% around 19:00 while I obviously charged it to 100% before bedtime as well. Not the first time I notice that on beta 6. I don't remember if that was on the case on previous betas.

My Ultra 2 will start to drain more than usual after upgrading to the latest beta, but it's usually fixed by the hard reset (holding in the two non-Action buttons until it turns off and the Apple logo appears). Once I do that, it goes back to battery drain similar to yours, which is less than 3% an hour.
I've never actually done a hard reset of any of my Apple Watches - Do you feel it "resets" it more than just turning off and on?

Yes I do that when my watch faces glitch out and if anything goes awry. I also did hard reset if my Now Playing does not show up when I play media from my iPhone.

I dont use the now playing feature (now live activities now playing) because I have always seen a battery drain from it

So it could be indexing as it was day 2 of downloading beta 6, but I woke up to my watch at 28% after 24 hours on my wrist. I went from being at about 55% after 24 hours to 28%. Hope that gets way better. That’s a huge decrease.

Y’all I witnessed the hidden automatic sleep tracking feature in watchOS 11. I accidentally slept in and my Apple Watch tracked these gradient colors which means that it automatically tracked additional hours of sleep.

This never happened when I took a nap in the plane in my 4th of July vacation though, you need to be laying down and your eyes closed for a while in order for watchOS to catch it. Anyone experienced this before?

Couple nights ago I didn’t turn sleep focus on and it tracked my sleep, but yesterday I laid on the couch and took a nap and it didn’t pick it up. So I guess a little hot or miss for me.

I believe that the Apple Watch needs to see if the heart rate is at resting levels and still detecting minimal movements. My wake up alarm went off but I snoozed 😴 it a few times today with my double tap gesture (Quick Actions), but I was in bed still. Also you really need to be actually asleep to see this happen.

Well I fell asleep this afternoon for a few hours, sat upright on my sofa. It accurately detected it as a nap. It's a great addition to sleep monitoring.

Even when I almost napped watching the Olympics in the past few weeks twice it never caught it as I tried to stop slouching on the couch. 🛋️ Your Apple Watch must not detect excessive activity a lot via its accelerometer, and the heart rate does not go up to walking levels within any second.

At least this is better as some folks may accidentally forget to turn on Sleep Focus before hitting the hay or changing their sleep schedule in the watchOS sleep app or the Health app on your iPhone, like if you wanted to go to bed early for a long flight tomorrow in the morning and you forgot to temporarily adjust the schedule for the following night.

Just wondering, which Apple Watch model do you guys use for beta testing?

Yeah I am surprised my HR didn’t go low enough for it to detect. I figured it would not catch every nap.
