Ya, my elevation readout is pretty buggy.

I haven't gotten into it yet, but being able to take a rest day is huge. There’s always so little to get excited about with Apple Watch updates I don’t think I’d ever bother with a beta.
I've been doing that for a while now on WatchOS 10. I used to have the schedule turned on but tried turning it off months ago. Still tracked my sleep. 🤷🏼With watchOS 11 Apple Watches can track naps and night sleeps without setting a sleep schedule.
You now get the water temperature when using the swimming workout and it also shows on the workout summary at the bottom.
These little refinements honestly have me more excited than any new features.
Could you please check the algorithm of the Temperature sensor?

I am liking all these little tweaks they are making, and those for me make this a pretty decent update. There’s always so little to get excited about with Apple Watch updates I don’t think I’d ever bother with a beta.
Still have to send it in for downgrade unfortunatelyI am curious to know if they have allowed for downgrading with WatchOS 11 beta? Previously you had to send in your watch to have Apple downgrade it for you.
Just did that too. Fingers crossed. The joys of beta!Getting extreme battery drain on the original ultra I have reset the watch and re-paired hopefully that fixes it
not getting any better even after 2nd reset battery percentage is dropping even on the fast charger lolGetting extreme battery drain on the original ultra I have reset the watch and re-paired hopefully that fixes it
hmm I just got an e-mail from Oceanic+ warning customers not to install the iOS18 or WatchOS11 betas.I’m going diving in a month lol. I’ll let you know. Actually it’s making me wonder if I should test it before getting in the water.
Yeah and have heard the same with the WatchOS 10. "Remember it's just the BETA" but here almost a year later, my Apple Watch Ultra is down to being a 24 hour watch. When I got it in January 2023 it could last me two full days - now with a run I get battery warning around 20-22 hours later. Pretty terrible.Right, obviously none of this so-called "complaints" information is useful for Apple, we should stay silent.
Developer beta are not here for end user complaints. There is a lot to do at the OS/API levels before listening to end users ...Right, obviously none of this so-called "complaints" information is useful for Apple, we should stay silent.
You can have a specific issue, but for the immense majority of users, watchOS 10 has the same battery life than 9.Yeah and have heard the same with the WatchOS 10. While I disagree with you about the "listening to end users" part, I think you are confusing complaints with people simply sharing their observations and warning others who want to test whether or not to do something.Developer beta are not here for end user complaints. There is a lot to do at the OS/API levels before listening to end users ...
And if you want to complain, it's not here, Apple is not taking care of macrumors forums.
Just tried to unpair and pair my Ultra 1 again with my iPhone - actually the first time (guess it does some kind of repair when updating the WatchOS maybe?). Will see if it helps. You can have a specific issue, but for the immense majority of users, watchOS 10 has the same battery life than 9.
And I am pretty sure iOS is equally responsible for people who have the problem.
My son also hs an Ultra 1, it lasts more than 2 days, like before.
There are different times in beta test. While I disagree with you about the "listening to end users" part, I think you are confusing complaints with people simply sharing their observations and warning others who want to test whether or not to do something.
If the issue comes from the iPhone it won't fix ...Just tried to unpair and pair my Ultra 1 again with my iPhone - actually the first time (guess it does some kind of repair when updating the WatchOS maybe?). Will see if it helps.
I still think the end-users feedback is valuable even at this stage, if not for Apple at least for the app developers. And by the nature of how you obtain this beta -if I am not mistaken, you need a developer account-, mostly the highly technical users will try this beta. Some of us being actual developers as well. There are different times in beta test.
There's a time for developers, a time for end users.
When you build an house, you put the basement and the basement before painting the walls ...
The first betas are always rough, incomplete, not finished. Framework are buggy, Xcode is buggy ...
That's the first priorities to fix before looking at battery or polishing colors.
If it's not officially available for end users, there's a reason. Apple probably wants to get feedback from developers first.
