Weather here today is cool (only 65 for a high)... perfect for start up.
Mine still not Out for Delivery but called FedEx and any International package received before 9:00AM locally will be delivered that day so I am good...
It get's even weirder!

Update: Boom! My imac is out for delivery!!! It will probably be here in about 1 1/2 hours! This is my first apple computer (not including a couple ipods and an iphone)! I'm on a 4 y/o dell desktop with a 19" screen.

first impressions..
HOLY CRAP IT'S HUGE
Second impression, "Why is the front panel peeling off when I take off the tape".. then i realize it's just connected with magnets (I think)... once I let go of the tape, it snapped back in.. interesting.
the keyboard is too tiny.. not sure I like it.

I thought the same when I first got the tiny keyboard... but I adapted quickly and would not use anything else...
I opted for the wired keyboard with the numeric keypad. I have heard both good and bad stories about the magic mouse. I tried it at the Apple Store last week and it was fine.
Now to unpack that large box sitting on the floor..
Great photos on your site. Will have to spend some time viewing them when I finish setting up.
Gosh I can't wait to get mine! STUPID WORK. It's here and it's five minutes away. Alas.
I agree with NevadaJack, the keyboard might take some getting used to -- but if you've ever used a MacBook or MacBook Pro, you'll be at home in no time. I've been using an Aluminum BlueTooth with my MacBook and external monitor for a year now and frankly, it's awesome. I won't lie, an external keypad would be nice -- but this is still hands-down one of the nicest keyboards I've ever used.
And yeah, the mouse rocks! I got one last week for my laptop and wow -- can't wait to use it with the big screen!

This is my first mac computer, all started with the gateway drug known as the iPhone! Very excited about becoming a member of this crazy community, may already be a member after reading 3500+ posts about shipping before even touching my computer, LOL
hope we keep this thread Alive for a little while longer....

HAHAHA.. How true is that. I am sure a lot of us, me included, went down that 'dark' path. Actually its more of a bright path, with no viruses.

Typing on it now...it's perfect.
I had originally owned a C2D that was returned b/c of the flickering problem. Too soon to tell, but no flickering and everything is smooth and snappy. It's great to be using 27" again...

It is held on by magnets. Service folks use large suction cups to remove it. You just tug.
