What stunning ad stylish album covers.
Is the music as good as the album cover would suggest it might be?

are you in anyway an XTC fan? it is... to me. Lots o' nonsense on there too though...
Oh, yes, not only do I remember XTC, but I will readily confess that I love XTC - "We're Only making Plans For Nigel", "Dear God" etc. Bring it on.
Listening to 'Sticky Fingers' from the Stones.
I remember that album, and indeed, that album sleeve along with the rather controversial (at the time) cover art.

Since you mentioned XTC, I just had to listen to "Dear God" (which I think is an absolutely brilliant song).
Well, @pachyderm, before I settle down to some French café, or easy listening, - XTC seemed to merit another revisit. Must say I really like the music these guys made.
Currently listening to "Sergeant Rock Is Going To Help Me" by - yes - XTC, followed by "Senses Working Overtime", "Generals and Majors", and - inevitably - other classics including those referred to yesterday, "Making Plans For Nigel", and - of course - "Dear God".

And now, while cooking Christmas dinner (a pared down version of something resembling tradition as it involves roasted - organic, free range - chicken, rather then the traditional turkey, or historical goose), I am listening to Pink Martini. Love them.

Earlier today, I listened to The Nutcracker Suite, by P. I. Tchaikovsky.
A few from George Michael, to remind myself what a great artist - and a brave and generous man, plus a most impressive human being - he actually was.
In a way, it is a pity that many of the amazing - wonderful, and quite moving - stories of his kindness and generosity are coming out now, but he seems to have been a man held in rare respect, affection and esteem by those who knew him.
A few from Supertramp, easy listening from the 80s, and very enjoyable, too.
