I seem to listen to Celtic music a lot; I find it puts me in a better mood:

Celtic Woman - Siúil a Rún

COR. That really is a lovely sound, wow! Reminds me of Enya, who I love. Glad you didn't post anything weird or any "death metal" - happy to know there's still some balanced-minded people around who like good, clean POSITIVE and uplifting things in life, not just "quirky"/bizarre, weirdness. :)

Oh absolutely. Enya and Celtic Woman are both excellent Irish artists who take inspiration from Celtic folk music (this song is originally a folk song). I listen to a lot of stuff like that and it can be very uplifting :)

:D Agreed, Irish women are tres bon! I am biased, being half Irish, but that doesn't make it less so.

You might already know about Loreena Mckennitt(Mummers Dance), but thought i'd mention it.

Cheers
[doublepost=1491183843][/doublepost]Been listening to a lot of instrumental stuff lately.... If anyones into soundtracks and "epic" sounding music, you might like...

Conan the Barbarian(1982) - Theology/Civilization - Basil Poledouris

Heavy Metal(1981) - Flight - Elmer Bernstein

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind(1984) - Main Theme - Joe Hisaishi

Taxi Driver(1976) - I Still Can't Sleep/They Cannot Touch Her (Betsy's Theme) - Bernard Herrmann

Cheers

The original BBC Radio series of "The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy", from the 1970s. NOTHING comes close to it. SO FUNNY!

I remember that - it was brilliant.

Actually, I have a double LP (yes, vinyl) recording of the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy which was based on the radio series; wonderful.

I think Enya is terrific, and Clannad were superb.

Now, - and I have quite an extensive collection of Irish music - including a fair bit by both Clannad and Enya, - but, I must admit that I have never heard of "Celtic Woman".

So, can I take it that you both strongly recommend it?

It's off the Buckingham Nicks album that they put out before they joined Fleetwood Mac. Awesome album and sadly, out of print. Copies cost an arm and 2 legs.

yeah, i knew what is was from. i mean with that lp cover how does a young man* not know that?
cheers though!

*well, a man who used to be young...

My favorite track from Italian prog rock soundtrack kings Goblin. Definitely evocative of Asia and very relaxing.

I fell in love with this cue 15 years ago(when I first saw the film it was written for) and love to listen to it on a loop for hours at a time.

Easing into this Wednesday morning with -
My Sleeping Karma - Moksha
Good stuff...
Then following that up with some -
Brunt's self titled album that is just solid!
And the opioids are now kicking in...
