R.I.P. Garth Hudson of Windsor, Ontario died today at 87. Sadly there are now no members of The Band alive.

This is super cool! Love the arrangement. Not a huge fan of Diana Krall in general, but this arrangement makes up for it. The little slip at 1:23 is unreal - gives me chills and makes me laugh at the same time. Love it.

This popped up as I was watching random music videos - made me smile. 😋 This fun little number, sung by Lynsey de Paul and Mike Moran, got 2nd place at the 1977 Eurovision contest.

After so many years, Deep Purple follow Rush in making a cool animated video of one of their older hit songs, actually their biggest hit. Yes "Smoke on the Water".
I attended a jam session at the Montreux Jazz festival some years back (many actually) presented by Claude Nobs ("Funky Claude" in the song organizer of the Montreux for many years, RIP) and up on a balcony was none other than Quincy Jones (also RIP) pointed out by Claude and who got a ton of applause. There is a "new" Casino made of non-flammable material. Also they refer to Lake Geneva, don't tell any Swiss outside of Lake Geneva that is the name of the lake, folks in Lausanne (another Swiss town where the IOC is based) or Montreux who call it "Lake Leman".
