Adelaide, Oztwaylya.
Jinja Safari - Plagiarist. These Aussie guys have very recently released their first (self titled) album, of which I'm still waiting to get my hands on a copy. Thank god for youtube! 2011's "Locked By Land" was a compilation of 2 EP's, not an album.

This song's a fave already for me and the filmclip is shot in one take apparently.

The group Chingón (some of their music can be heard in the movies 'El Mariachi' and 'Once Upon a Time In Mexico') from an album called 'Mexican Spaghetti Western' - wonderful album; the track is called 'Mexican Sausage Link'.

If you are going through a Turkish music phase at the moment, I can recommend a very good group called Café Anatolia - I picked up several of their CDs on various trips through Istanbul airport in recent years. They are a sort of cross between easy listening and (modern) Turkish music, and some of their tunes are really excellent.

Thank you very much, scepticalscribe! Will listen to it later and yes, I have a little thing for Turkish music going on right now. Awesome vibrations for summer time! Finally some sun around here! :)

That is a really elegant album sleeve, very beautifully composed.

For myself, I am listening to 'Last Summer In Rio' by the wonderful Brazilian group Azymuth.

Around a decade ago, I had the rare privilege and pleasure of hearing them play live. To see these three ageing, solidly built guys - then well into their sixties - play such cool, confident, smooth, sublime music was......utter perfection.

One of my absolute, all-time, favourite pieces of music - a perennial favourite - the 'Fandango' by Antonio Soler.

This is Baroque on speed, an electrifying, transcendental, piece of music. I know that Soler himself had studied under the maestro Domenico Scarlatti, but I still marvel at how a Spanish priest (and tutor to the royal family) could have come up with something so vital, and utterly compelling.
