In Melbourne Australia, shipments for order made now, seem to be late November, to early December.

But you can walk into Officeworks (a major office supplier owned by an Australia food supermarket clothing etc retail conglomerate that sells 25% of all retail sales in Australia) and pick up a 512GB 14" or 16" 10 thread Pro notebook ... but the 1 GB ones are not available. My 512 GB internal drive is not really enough in my 2017 MBP. But external fast drives are cheap these days ...

However in Australia, I can buy a 1GB (960) GB thunderbolt 3 drive with 3,000 transfer speeds, for $379 (in $US277). USB 3.2 type C drives are much cheaper. In Australia to buy (a not available) 1 TB equipped MacPro 14 or 16" costs an extra $Au300 ($uS200 in the States).

While Apple's 1TB drive is better value, and we could connect a slower cheaper external drive, it would be tempting to opt for 512GB. But I still think the 1GB has more utility than the 512GB, especially three years from now. Its extra cost is worth it. Which is probably why the 1TB machines have a long wait in Australia.
I feel like everywhere you put “1 GB” you meant “1 TB”, though I could be misunderstanding you.

1TB not 1GB. The 1TB models with 16GB memory, 10 CPU and 16 GPU cores were available on launch day. They are now sold out. I know because I nabbed two of them.

Mine has a 16-23 delivery window but I’ve just received a message saying it’s shipped via TNT (Apparently bought out by FedEx). Still not showing up on their tracking page. Australia.

New MBP just became available in Apple Thailand yesterday. I placed an order for 16" M1 Max 64GB 8TB. Currently showing delivery date: 13/12/2021 - 20/12/2021. Hopefully it comes sooner

Just got shipment notification. Ordered on 10/19, is now supposed to be here on 11/11 (original window was 12/7-14, then 11/17-24).

I don't think this is because there is low demand. Every dev I know is waiting for one.

Ordered on 10/18, shipping estimate 11/2-11/9 to KY, USA. Still "Processing" as of 11/2.

16" M1 Pro, 1TB, 16GB, no other customization. Curious whether others with this build have received their machine or any updates.

The 16“ MBP is sold out at all Apple stores in my town, the 14” MBP is available though. I think there may be very high demand for the 16”. The shipping dates for 16” has slipped to December but the 14” has like a 1-3 day lead for shipping estimates.

Mine still showing Nov 2 - 9. Still "processing." Why wouldn't it be updated at this point?

My first order has not been charged or shipped, still processing but the shipping estimate is Nov 10-17. I think if yours is Nov 2-9 and it hasn't shipped at all, get in touch with Apple Customer Service and ask what's going on. I think it's a bit weird that they haven't shipped at all? Did you preorder asap?

My first order was made 10/18 at night, almost midnight. My second order was made 10/19 in the morning and it's already on the way. Tracking shows it's on it's way to Alaska at the moment.

It may be because lots of us are going to an apple store and picking one up.

Ordered 19th Oct, estimate 16 Nov - 26 Nov, still processing, wish I can get jump the queue just like others, but not... Wonder what how they prioritise.

Ordered afternoon of the 18th, 14" 32GB, 24 cores M1 Max, 1TB. Original estimate was Nov 5-10. UPS optimistically predicted a 11/3 delivery, but the laptop just left South Korea this morning. Looks like Apple had it right and UPS was overly confident.

Hi there. I also ordered 16" M1 pro, 16g, 1tb (stock) on 10/18. estimated arrival nov 2-9 . No movement until now. I just had a temporary authorization show up on my cc account and at the same time status went from "processing" to "being prepared for shipment". was hoping to get it by the weekend, but i guess not.

I finally got charged. Package has been showing as in Shanghai for 3 days. Estimate from Apple is has gone from 16 to the 8th and now back to 16 - 23. TNT saying 9th. Who knows when it’ll arrive.

Update: received word from Apple this afternoon that my MacBook Pro is arriving tomorrow. Shipping from SoCal, not from China.

Ordered a 14 inch BTO MBP 16 hours after the announcement

Still in processing, but my credit card got charged yesterday. I am a little bit confused, normally Apple charge you when it is in prepare for shipment, not at the processing stage??

anyway, I'm happy they took my money and hope I can get mine as soon as possible.

Currently on the Apple website, if you were to get a similar spec'd 16" MacBook Pro as my 1st order. The shipping estimate is from Dec 21-28. Wow. Yeah, looks like it's going to be awhile.

That is cutting it very close for Christmas! ?
