I have great news!

I just got a notification of a pending charge from Apple for our similarly spec'd models. YES! So excited to see some movement! It looks like all of our models are shipping quite soon. I know paulchiu's order has already shipped after reading the other thread.

Get ready boys, our MBPs are on the move! ?

Edit: Order status is now "Preparing to Ship" and arrival date has moved from Nov 10-17 to Nov 12-19. I chose standard delivery, but Apple has shipped Express.
Must be nice lol. Mine just moved from Nov 18-26 to Nov 22-30 lmfao. Still on processing just have to wait even longer now. Wtf Apple must hate me

No, ordered an iPad Pro back in 2020 just as COVID lockdowns and work from home were in full swing. There was a long wait with no word then too.

I’m replacing my mid-2009 MacBook Pro. It’s really really time to get a new one and I’m frustrated at staying patient and having no updates.

That's a much needed upgrade. The longest I held onto my first MBP was 7 years before upgrading so you have me beat! Agreed, very frustrating, but hopefully things are moving quickly now. Are you based in the U.S.A? Everybody who ordered around Oct 18 seems to be seeing some movement now. I'm sure they'll upgrade delivery to express shipping for you too.

Are you based in the U.S.A? I wonder what's happening with these orders. You would think Apple releases them according to the time they're ordered, but it seems like there's some other process. I guess the good news is, if you selected standard delivery they'll upgrade it to express for free ?

The rest of our group with similar specs ordered on Oct 18, everyone else said they made their pre-orders 15mins to 2 hours after the event. I ordered the night of Oct 18, so I think yours is gonna be shipping soon! Fingers crossed! I have a feeling they finally got to our specific BTO configs and are now dispatching by order date/time ??

Lets hope no more delays! I have so many projects I need to work on after setting up the MBP ?

What specs did you get?

I got the:
...
1st Order: October 18 2021 @ 11:36 PM USA
Size: 16" Inch MacBook Pro
CPU: M1 Max 10-CPU, 32-GPU, 16-NE
Specs: 64GB Ram, 4TB
...

I was basically 30 minutes away from it being Oct 19th, so I have a feeling yours is going to ship real soon.

tombstone1881 ordered theirs on:
I ordered the 16" M1 Max with 64GB RAM and 4TB SSD as well.... I placed my order on October 18th about 15 minutes after the keynote ended with the same November 10-17 delivery date...
and they've got movement earlier today:
My order finally just moved to Preparing to Ship. However the delivery date has been pushed back from November 10-17 to November 12-19.

I just got notified today as well. So I think yours might be up tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Keep us updated ??

Both my dogs just got diagnosed with double hip displaysia, so I have canceled my MacBook Pro M1 Max order. Gonna cost me north of $20k to get them sorted with double hip replacements.

Also, anyone want to buy a crap ton of Apple computers?

Been stuck in Shanghai for over 24 hours now. Express shipping and got an email my AppleCare goes active tomorrow (12th) but delivery still on the 15th. No rhyme or reason here. Have a ground shipment from Oregon with UPS that is moving faster.

I was waiting for benchmarks and reviews before ordering. thing is, I have a fully speced iMac (in signature) and it's insanely fast and I really wanted to make sure the MBP would be an upgrade and not suffer from thermal slow downs so I took my time before ordering. I had a Core i9 MBP + this iMac and the MBP was half the speed due to throttling so I sold it and just went iMac only. Now I'm going to do the opposite, sell iMac and just dock the new machine at my desk.

From Order Label being created to Shanghai to Incheon Korea, it usually takes 2-3 days based on all the tracking information people have posted. Although, for some reason Zhengzhou takes 1 week for some people. Mine is shipping from Shanghai. Fingers crossed it doesn't end up in Zhengzhou.

Apple's delivery estimate is Nov 22nd for me, but UPS is Nov 15th. UPS tends to be more accurate with their estimate, but my second order that arrived first had readjusted delivery time twice. Ended up delivering on Nov 5th as opposed to the initial estimate of Nov 3. So, my first order will probably arrive Nov 15-17th. Apple is fairly cautious with how they estimate shipping, the products usually arrive prior to their estimated arrival dates.

Edit: Uh Oh. It seems like there are some backups now, with Shanghai shipments being stuck there for almost a week. Let's hope things get moving quickly. Also UPS is having to deliver on early Christmas shoppers, so the delivery load will most likely only increase as we get closer to the Holidays.

Not sure if good or bad news, status just changed on UPS to "Check back tomorrow for an updated delivery date". Still in Shanghai, with a note on the Shanghai status of "Your package is in transit. We're updating plans to schedule your delivery. / The package will be forwarded to a UPS facility in the destination city". No idea what to read into this now my 15th delivery date has disappeared!

I caution all who are having to deal with UPS, in Canada at least, ... never contact Customer Support to do anything like changing the delivery address. I did, and the UPS agent(s) assuring me twice the address change (from outside Winnipeg to a UPS Store in Winnipeg) would happen and a day or two later, did occur. The UPS My Choice app indicated that there was a deliver address change yet displayed just my town name (not my full address), whereas it should be showing the UPS Store name and address. Delivery was to be Nov. 10 and the parcel (my M1 Max) did arrive in Wpg. at 7:30 a.m. but seemingly UPS could not get it to their own USP Store 4 miles away by end of day. They now show on their app that delivery is tomorrow, the 12th *to my home address*. Never believe what UPS are assuring you that they will do, or have done. 11 days from Shanghai. My son's exact same configuration computer took the same route in 4 days, but with no UPS Customer Service "help"/intervention. Lessoned learned, in spades.

Ordered on the 5 nov. With delivery time: 20 Dec. - 28 Dec.

On the 9 nov. I get an email update that delivery was pushed forward to 8 dec - 15 dec.

Decided to cancel the order and creating a new on the same day, with same delivery time.

Suddenly decided I wanted to stick with the machine longer and went all in with all specs and 4tb ssd from previous 2tb ? can’t wait to try it out, reviews are stellar for heavy photo editing work

They're recalculating the delivery time. Happened twice to me on the second order. Your delivery date will most likely be pushed back.

At the moment, there's only 1 UPS planned departure from Shanghai's Bao'an International airport scheduled to leave on Friday to Anchorage Alaska in 11 hours. UPS77. So far, a very high percentage of deliveries on the forum have gone from China -> Incheon, Korea -> Alaska -> Louisville Kentucky. Not sure if UPS77 is the right flight, but there's no other UPS flights scheduled leaving as of today to Korea.

There's plenty of flights already in the air, but I've found that UPS Tracking tends to update anywhere from 15 minutes to 3 hours after a flight departure. If your package caught a flight, it could already be en route as opposed to scheduled for departure.

Once your plane lands at your state's hub, it'll take about a day to transfer to your local city, get loaded onto a truck, and out for delivery. That's only if there are no hiccups. Holiday rush means more packages in general, so it may take an extra day longer.

Edit: The post above is for UPS. I just realized yours was shipped FedEx. I have no clue about FedEx lol I would've loved to have been shipped FedEx because we have a giant FedEx airport right by my house. I think it'll be faster if Apple shipped mine FedEx haha
