I believe it should be your phone number for the order, if not the order number. Varying success based on what I've seen, I think it worked last year on my M1 order since the order never showed up on my UPS My Choice.

Cool, thanks ? I tried my order number and received and error. Then tried my phone number attached to my order and it only found a completely different order that I just received two days ago.
Very weird it’s not yet been shipped. Maybe because I’m on the east coast (Philadelphia) and that destination is closer than say middle America. Who knows ??♂️

I have a 14" M1 Pro (upgraded to 10c/16c) with 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD that I ordered within 10 minutes after the event and my delivery estimate is Nov 3 - 5 and is still on processing, and I'm located in California. My source of patience is watching everyone else get their shipping notification and building my excitement off that ?
Hey all question for everyone. How long did it take from being charged to show an updated ship date or show preparing to ship. My ship date shows Nov 30 - Dec 7. But I've been charged today. That seems way off. Anyone have something similar happen. 16 inch M1 Max 32 gig 2tb space gray.
They don’t charge the card until the devices are ready to ship. So I would think you may be getting lucky.
Update: I can now see the delivery using UPS My Choice. Expected date is the 29th Oct! Charge is still pending on my card and "preparing to ship" on Apple.
Ah I'm currently the week after on my 16" hoping everyone shuffles forward a week if they're making headway with orders.
How are people finding their orders on UPS My Choice? I've tried all the usual tricks. Order/Phone number in place of the tracking, taking numbers off the order number, etc. Seems to be a fickle process that only works sometimes. Might have to wait until later this week/next week to see progress with mine though. My ETA is Nov 3-5.

Woohoo! Mine to Winnipeg, Canada is now showing in UPS My Choice this am.
Still “preparing to ship” with Nov 3-5 according to Apple.
According to UPS, the package just left Shanghai 2.5 hours ago, and the scheduled delivery says Fri, Oct 29 between 11:45 and 3:45. However, when I go into the package, it says “Rescheduled Delivery” is Mon, Nov 1. So it might not make it tomorrow it looks like.

Mine is noted to arrive tomorrow. Apple Still says preparing to ship hah. Meanwhile the package has been stuck in Louisville (as per UPS) since 1:01am yesterday. Hopefully I'll see some movement soon. UPS has been a bit flaky since the pandemic.
My credit card was charged last Thursday (reserved but not yet debited). Took another 5 days for order status to change from "Preparing to ship" to "Shipped".
When were you debited? My payment has gone through the same day of the order but still showing as pending.
Here's my update: I can now see a shipment in UPS My Choice but there's no estimated delivery available
I have two to arrive tomorrow. The first order I placed (with a 10/26 date) is "preparing to ship" and the second, later order I placed (with a 10/26 to 11/2) has already shipped with tracking for 10/26 (this is the one I'll accept as it has my trade in associated with it--the other will be returned to my local Apple store).
Update. Apple just switched my status to shipped and of course links to the tracking number I've had for several days.
Order was placed within moments after the store re-opened. Original ship date was Nov 5-10. On Sunday Oct 24, My status changed from "processing" to "preparing to ship". 8:30am Monday, I got "Your item has shipped Arrives Wed Nov 3".
I expected to see one of those "label created, check back when item ships" notices. Instead, when I looked, it not only shipped, but has made it past the clearing agency for final release. It's in transit ?.

Order updated from "Preparing to Ship" & "Arrives Nov 3-5" to "Shipped" and "Arrives Tues Nov 02" on Apple's website. When I tracked my order, FedEx scheduled the actual delivery for the 29th this Friday! I guess Apple lowballs these delivery dates. Assuming nothing delays between now and then, my hype is at an all time high!
Mine’s still being listed as delivered tomorrow, but hasn’t yet shipped. Nothing with UPS or FedEx yet either.
Only thing I can think of is that since I ordered a standard config this time, it might actually ship from the US rather than China.
EDIT: Spoke too soon I guess. I now have a UPS tracking number, but it’s not in UPS’ system yet. Hmm.
