Got the Torras Silicone Black case from Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GWCTL74/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Here are some pictures. The lip protection is very minimal (~0.5mm) enough to protect the screen when facing down. Notice that I also have the original screen protector on which covers both front & back sides which when removed, should give me more lip protection.

Camera cutout is nice. Buttons seem to work well. One minor flaw I noticed was that the silent switch cutout was slightly offset to one side. I don't mind it all considering I paid $16 for this case, but might bother some.

I like Silicone cases for it grip and this thing is grippy and I'd imagine it will only become better overtime (hopefully :)). I also don't mind the dust/lint that comes with it when in pocket. You can see it in the pictures. It is open bottom like Apple cases but doesn't have the OEM logo.

Almost near to Apple case experience, at half the cost. Will it hold? Only time will tell. All in all considering the price, nice grip, lip protection and nice cutouts -- I'm :)

Finger print magnets?

nope. if anything the frosted backer minimizes any prints.

my wife likes it on her coral XR. she was a bit apprehensive of the color at first, being too loud and bright, but the silk case helps mute it just a bit.

Thanks. Have emailed them to see if they have a UK stockist.

Will get both this case and the iPhone XR Red on Monday :)

Torro is a very nice case. But difficult to take phone out of. Little what I expected.
Not fond of those cases. Was not expensive, so I thought I check it out.
Might keep it some time If I change my mind...but will probably sell it.

Ordered this one instead, same as I had to almost all earlier phones.
Wonderful leather wallet that you easy put in and pull out your phone from. No bulky clips and ****.
No risk that glas on phone will lean against creditcards or such either.
The leather becomes great with time too. Hope it’s not too big for XR that is little smaller then the +modells but too big for the other option.

For those wanting a nice clear case, much cheaper than Apple, that isn’t a fingerprint magnet, doesn’t stick to the phone, isn’t too bulky, but provides great protection....

This case by ESR is hands down the best I have found. It has a tempered glass back which feels so nice and has the same oleophobic coating as screen protectors so not such a fingerprint magnet. The frame is a TPU but clear with a dot matrix effect. It looks and feels lovely, and I would highly recommend it!

I have the other ESR case. And love that. Adds absolutely zero bulk. Not a finger print magnet. Not slippy.

Think I’ll grab the tempered glass one too.

Really enjoying my triple combo

Liquid crystal with pop socket since it’s already chunky case

Dynex clear for thin but almost no protections and color

Caudabe sheath for grip protection and slimness

Anyone know of a case like the TPU spigen or caudabe sheath that’s a similar blue to the Xr?

Happen to see on Slickdeals a sale on Ringke iPhone cases (and also Android phone cases). I have the Ringke Fusion and it’s a pretty decent case..especially for the price.

i saw that too and ordered the fusion. does it make the xr feel wider?

Unfortunately it does make the XR feel a little wider. But then, (to me), most cases makes the XR feel wider. My current favorite case is the Caudabe Sheath. It’s slim enough while feeling like it can handle some small drops.

got the fusion in today. It's really not too much wider than the $5 generic walmart clear case i was using til i found something

it looks like it would offer more protection with the added stuff in the corners

the bottom screen edge could be a little lower cause I notice it on the swipe up actions but i'm sure i'll get used to it

it's a very very nice case for the price on sale for sure!

Yup, the Ringke Fusion is a solid case. The upper and lower lip is actually higher than the sides. Kinda a "feature" to protect against face drops. The other case that comes to mind with this is the Mous Limitless 2.0, which also has a higher upper and lower lip.

I find I can swipe not as close to the edge of the screen and iOS still recognize I'm doing the swipe motion. Not sure if this will help you with not touching the lip when swiping...

Okay so far I have

Speck presidio grip - Have used these on pretty much every phone I’ve owned but on the Xr it’s just too big. Adds too much bulk.

Spigen liquid crystal - I like this. I got the glitter one as it was 50% off. Doesn’t add too much bulk and doesn’t take too much away from the colour.

Spigen ultra hybrid - Doesn’t add too much bulk. Seems like it would give decent drop protection. But complete finger print magnet so looks awful within minutes of being on the phone. Plus strange holes in the bottom of the case at the back let crap in.

ESR slim clear- Really like this. Adds basically no bulk no rainbow effect. Not a finger print magnet but gives zero drop protection.

Tech gear Xr case - Thin. Textured sides for grip. Not a finger print magnet. Port protectors. But a bit flimsy and doesn’t feel like it would protect against any drops.

Caudabe sheath- Perfect fit. Good grip. Slim. Supposedly offers 6ft drop protection. Would be perfect if it didn’t completely hide the colour of the phone, or if they did colours to match the phone.

So six cases in and I’ve still not found the perfect case for me.

Of the sheath matched the blue of my Xr or the ESR case offered some drop protection I’d be happy. Fit wise, the Causabe is undoubtably the best. I just wish it either matched the Xr colours or was clear.

From the XS/XS Max case thread, there’s some reports of actual drops with the Caudabe Sheath and so far, no damage. A lot of us Sheath owners isn’t sure about the full 6ft drop protection...but so far it’s sounds like the accidental drops from 3ft to 4ft is good.

Caudabe Sheath: I’ve been using the Sheath the most after I got mine and love it the most aside from the XR’s color being hidden. I agree with everything you mentioned about the Sheath.

Ringke Fusion: Last night though, I’ve switched back to my clear Fusion for now. I want to see the color of my phone. And honestly, the Fusion “feels” more protective. The lips are higher than the Sheath, and the upper and lower lips are slightly higher than the side lips, which should help more with face first drops. The grip depends on the dryness of my hands.

Loopy Max: I love the loop on the back as it really helps secure the phone in my hands when my finger is fully in the loop. But the double edge sword is it really fixed my hand in one position so it’s personally really hard to use the XR one handed. Even something simple like pressing the buttons is much harder one handed. I was using the Loopy Max for a while since getting it, but later switched back to the Sheath. Other thing I didn’t like over time is the smooth plastic feel of the back of the case. If I take my finger partly out of the loop to use the phone one handed, I feel like I’m going to drop the phone.

Fake Apple Silicone: My coworker got this for me. I love that soft touch feel. But it’s weird that depending on the dryness of my hands, it either plenty grippy or too slippery. But it’s much harder putting in or taking out of my pockets and pulls on the pocket material. It’s also a total lint magnet. I don’t like the opened bottom. I find myself babying the phone too much being paranoid I’ll drop or place the phone on the open end. But from my previous experience with cases of this material, these cases for me absorb hand oils and who know what else..so a year later or so, the case feels gross.

Realistically, I’ll probably use the Sheath the most since I usually prefer slim cases. I’ll switch to my other cases depending on my mood and eventually will switch back to the Sheath.

I’m pondering ordering the otter box clear case. But not sure as if it’s a finger print magnet it’s a waste of money and I feel I’ve already wasted enough.

The clear Otterbox Vue hides fingerprints pretty well because of the funky pattern on the back. Downside is that I've not known anyone with an otterbox clear case that didn't turn yellow.

I am using a Spigen Ultra Hybrid. I had bought this to get me buy before I got the official Apple case, unfortunately the Apple case is allowing condensation to build up in a couple of spots on the phone, so I’ve ditched it and gone back to the Spigen, a little more bulky but it’s actually grippier and the buttons are much easier to press. Plus it was a damn site cheaper then the Apple case!
Live and learn. Have to see if I can eBay the Apple case.

I went with a Spigen case in the end

Just ordered two more cases. Really wish I could find one I love so I could stop buying!!

Finally settled on a hard resin type case with open bottom and top... unfortunately the only one I could find has a catburger on the back but it feels nice and grippy without being bulky.
