Ordered Mujjo leather case, we’ll see how it is! ESR bumper bends too easily and is already misfired, and is too sharp to hold comfortably. At least it was cheap.

Thinking about SENA or MUJJO as my leather case... Cannot decide. Maybe the metal buttons from the SENA are better than the MUJJO leather buttons.... Hm.

Just got my Caudabe Lucid Clear, it's quite slippery but looks great and it's very well made. IMG_20181101_112840.jpg IMG_20181101_112913.jpg IMG_20181101_113017.jpg IMG_20181101_113025.jpg IMG_20181101_113206.jpg IMG_20181101_113234.jpg IMG_20181101_113307.jpg

Got the Totallee thin leather case and really like it. I've always used Apple's leather cases and this has a similar feel and is even thinner. Only the back is leather, though. My XR can finally sit flush on a table. I thought I would prefer the button cutouts for more of the red/black color combo, but I have to be deliberate about pressing the power button. It's slightly recessed under the case edge. I've gotten used to using the XR naked over the past week and can't decide which way feels better. This definitely feels safer though!

That looks really good. Thanks for posting. I’m looking at the Mujjo but this looks good too. And the price is better. It’s tough though to cover up the pretty colors of these phones.

That looks slick! So I have two questions for you...

1) Does the back camera lense touch the surface when being layed down on a table? Or does the camera cutout go a bit past it to protect the lense.

2) What happens if you lay it face down? Does the screen touch the surface or do the sides of the case go just a bit further past the screen to protect it while being layed down screen first?

I'd say it's perfectly flush on both counts. This is not the most protective case. Definitely not the clearance that you would get from an Apple leather case.

My Navy Blue Caudabe Sheathe came in today! I think it looks great with the red iPhone XR.

Pretty grippy to me. The 2nd photo in my post shows off the case’s texture.
Lastly, how does the quality seem? I just got the Mous Limitless 2 and it’s pretty great, but it adds a bit of bulk.

I’m pretty sure it won’t rip, fade, etc....just trying to see how yours looks!

Liking both so far. The case is exactly like Apple’s silicone case but cheaper and no branding (which I like). Nice fit and grippy.
The black on black is nice....very stealth! Makes me lean towards getting a black XR!! Seems like the black XR opens up more case options since no issue with covering up the back as you have with one of the colored XR options!

I’m liking the sleek minimalist look of these Caudabe Sheathe cases. They appear to be raised just enough to protect the front glass and don’t appear to add too much bulk at all. I’m curious - does the grip have more of a “hard plasticy” feel or a “soft rubbery” feel like the Apple silicone cases? Also, does it seem like it would have decent “shock” protection in case of a drop?

I went with the Symmetry Clear Case for iPhone XR for I want to still show the color of the iPhone XR. I am glad I did, for I already have a scratch on the case.

I got a silicone case from amazon today. Orzoly brand I think it is. Fits good. The blue looks good with the yellow and gold. It’s a bit thick though - it will be my case when I’m doing something active. I ordered a ultra thin hard case fir day to day use at the office. I’d love a clear case to show of the yellow but the sides look funky to me. I prefer it sans case really. But that’s just accident waiting to happen.

Thanks! None of the other colors really spoke to me, and while white was a runner up I like the seamless look of the black. Agree on the point about cases. Torras makes a bright red case which I might also get to change up the look.

My family used the Synthesis case for their 8 Pluses and it is holding well. While it wasn't the best comparison, I compared the iPhone XR Sheath to the Apple leather and silicone case for the iPhone XS Max. They are equally thin, which is impressive because the Sheath is rated for 6.6 ft drops. As far as I know, the official Apple cases do not have a drop rating.

Definitely more of a hard plastic feeling. The entire case is textured for grip. If you ever used the Silk base grip case, the feeling is very similar. The drop rating is 6.6 feet, which is head height for most people.

Thanks for the detail!!!

Ordered a Nomad Rugged case (brown) today that should hopefully be here by the weekend.

I got the black one. It’s great. Probably one of the best cases I’ve owned.

It’s not too thick but has good drop protection. Protects the front and back and feel really good in hand.
The sides are rubber so it doesn’t feel too slippery.

I think for me I have found the 4 best cases out there for my black XR

-Sena Deen Leatherskin Snap On Case
-Rhinoshield Solidsuit plain solid black
-UAG Pathfinder
-Speck Presidio Grip

Returned the Ringke Fusion due to the clear back being a fingerprint magnet and the smoke black number looking purpleish outdoors with the phone on. The presidio glossy grip looks like a hot mess after a week despite the grips raising the rest of the case off the surface. And the Mujjo Full Leather Case is a nice case and feels good in the hands, but I like the metal buttons of the Sena along with the Sena's slightly tighter fit, bigger lip around the screen and the feel of the inside lining of the case. Sena was also about $5 or so cheaper as well.

How did you find the UAG pathfinder? Reason I ask is that I got it in arctic camo, but found the lip on the case made the the bezel on the Xr seem huge.
