How did you find the UAG pathfinder? Reason I ask is that I got it in arctic camo, but found the lip on the case made the the bezel on the Xr seem huge.
This is my first year with the pathfinder after using the plasma for the 6/6s/7/8 Plus each year. To me it feels like the exact same case as the plasma. The lip isn't to big but not too small either. Didn't make me notice the bezels any different in my opinion.

I returned the Heyday silicon (?) case from Target. It was crap. Initially, it looked/felt similar to an Apple silicon case, but the sides did not fit the phone very snug. After a few days of use, I couldn't pull the phone out of my pocket without the case partially coming off. Not worth $2, let alone $20.

The black on black is nice....very stealth! Makes me lean towards getting a black XR!! Seems like the black XR opens up more case options since no issue with covering up the back as you have with one of the colored XR options!
I have the same Black Torras case on mine. As beautiful as it is its slippery as all hell and forces me to do a cramp inducing death grip on the phone. I've never had such a hard time getting the right case. I think its because Im coming from the 6S and it was much more easy to hold. Cases can make the XR feel like an XS Max. I have a super thin case coming soon. I really just want to protect against scratches, not drops. For now im using a clear TPU/hard shell case but its kind of bulky but at least has good grip.

The XR naked is PERFECT but I already got a few scuffs on the back corner of the glass :/

Thanks! Great information!! I’m like you in that I think the XR would be perfect naked, but I’ll be putting it in a case for sure if I get one. I’m looking for a case that adds very little bulk and is grippy! Perhaps the Caudabe Sheathe case might fit the bill? I’d love to find a “clear case” option too with the same characteristics....and that would not “yellow” over time!

I ordered one of these from Amazon and it arrived last night. Super impressed. It’s almost exactly like the original Apple leather cases except the side buttons are slightly different. Smells great, fits well, doesn’t add much bulk and it’s a very good substitute for those OEM cases that don’t seem to be available (yet?) for the XR. Went with the black on my Product Red XR and I’m very happy.
Can you tell us how the grip is? I notice a lot of cases are too slippery given the heft and size of the XR.

I have one for my XR. The grip is excellent without being too “sticky” that it’s grabs while putting it in & out of a pocket,. Much better than the Apple leather cases I’ve had for my other iPhones.

I got another spigen case. I have the liquid crystal with glitter and the ultra hybrid which is completely clear.

I love the clear case but the back is a finger print magnet so I’m using the glitter. Shame they don’t put an coating on the back to stop the finger prints.

So far so good. I'd rate the grip on the Mujjo as possibly better that the OEM Apple leather cases. Smells better too. Whether it will get shiny and more slippery over time remains to be seen of course, but so far it's been great with no visible signs of wear.

My family used the Synthesis case for their 8 Pluses and it is holding well. While it wasn't the best comparison, I compared the iPhone XR Sheath to the Apple leather and silicone case for the iPhone XS Max. They are equally thin, which is impressive because the Sheath is rated for 6.6 ft drops. As far as I know, the official Apple cases do not have a drop rating.

Definitely more of a hard plastic feeling. The entire case is textured for grip. If you ever used the Silk base grip case, the feeling is very similar. The drop rating is 6.6 feet, which is head height for most people.

Between the Silk Grip case vs the Caudabe Sheath, which one do you like better (since it sounds like you've used the Silk case before?). I'm wondering if the Sheath is worth about 2x more than the Silk case. Is it for the drop rating?

I briefly used the Silk wallet case for the iPhone 8 and thought it was a fine case with decent grip. The only thing nitpicky thing I didn't like about the Silk one I had was the lip could be a bit higher.

I think it's worth 2x the cost. The drop rating is the main reason and the fit is a bit better. Also I like the camera cutout design better on the Sheath. I feel like less dust will get in. Also the entire Sheath case is textured. It feels a lot like the sides of Silk case.

Caudabe has pretty good sales during Black Friday. I paid $15 for the iPhone X Sheath last year.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll wait for Black Friday then.
I have the Ringke Fusion and it’s fine. But have always been curious about the Caudabe Sheath for a few years (just haven’t pulled the trigger due to too many cases for the previous phone). ;)

Recently picked this up in China. Naked sides are the way to go.

Got this case in. Reminds me of a Pixel Phone. It's a bit slimmer than the Spigen Crystal Air case but feels a lot nicer to hold.

I’m sure I’m in the minority with my Loopy case, but I love it! I’ve had one on my last 3 phones, and I can’t imagine not having one at this point. It’s what allows me to use the XR (and my plus phone before it) one-handed.

I got the black one. It’s great. Probably one of the best cases I’ve owned.

It’s not too thick but has good drop protection. Protects the front and back and feel really good in hand.
The sides are rubber so it doesn’t feel too slippery.
My exact thoughts. Excited to see how this thing ages.

Just curious what the actual feel of the Loopy Case is? Does it feel like hard plastic or rubbery feel? I know with the loop, the grip doesn’t matter..but was just wondering what the case feels like.

I know I can wait for Black Friday..but did Loopy Case run specials for Black Friday?

Returned the Speck Presidio Glossy Grip to Best Buy and got a regular Presidio Grip directly from Speck and I love it much better. Super grippy and the lip around the screen is the deepest of the 4 cases I own. The matte finish will hold up in the long run as well vs the glossy version which looked a year old after 1 week.

I’m staying with the Spigen Ultra hybrid black.
Love the case. Doesn’t make the Xr bulky and the material feels great.

I have a black mujjo that I like but the nomad looks good too. any thoughts of one over the other?
Wish I could say, I don't know anything about the mujjo. Nomad is excellent and should get better with age.
