If looking for a thin tpu get dynex one from Best Buy $10

So thin it needs lip to protect back camera. And BARELY any front lip / almost none really but

Makes my phone grippy and still looks pretty good. A light streak on mine but not the water looking streaks. It has a dot matrix to prevent that

Good alternative to my liquid crystal that’s a bit on the chubbier side but of course also more protective

Clean too without any brand name on it

I felt the best minimal case was the Pitaka and then a cheaper option the Spigen thin fit.

I returned my XR so have both new feel free to reach out if you’re looking for either.

Could you post some pictures? I’m thinking about this case as well. I have a blue phone though, I don’t know how the frosted case will look on it but I texted the company to ask if they had some pictures of that combination, they didn’t. They even suggested I choose their clear one, as it shows off the blue colour more and adds more protection.
But I already have the Spigen liquid crystal and I don’t think it will be much different from that one.I think it is too thick though.

Sorry for not doing this sooner. Here are some crappy pics. Taken with my work phone, which is a 5c. Really makes you appreciate how far camera quality has come.

I bought the Caudabe Sheath case for my iPhone XR and X with the Bf 35% coupon. Ordered this past Sunday and got here yesterday.

100% satisfied. Enough grip, slim, feels like it has enough protection for a drop of 5 feet or less (website says drop tested for 2M / 6.6 ft).

I used to be a Speck case guy. Also used Spigen cases, Apple leather cases, and a few others; but the Caudabe is my absolute favorite!

Slim and protective is a miracle combo!

The green looks good! Almost wish I grabbed that one still waiting on my black one for blue XR

Should be here tomorrow or Saturday

Looks nice that case!
What colour is your XR?

I am going ceaseless at the moment, and have since I’ve had the phone new. There just aren’t any cases that I like the look of, even the clear ones are adding a little bit too much bulk for me.

I tried front and back glass screen protectors, but they added too much weight to the device.

Have you looked at Peel's cases? They have a BOGO thing going on at the moment.

I went with a Spigen case in the end

...nice looking iPhone

Not a fan of clear cases myself as;

1. The clear back of the case will be a fingerprint magnet
2. The clear back of the case will be a scuff magnet (guaranteed to show scuffs within 1 week)
3. It will show off all the dust and lint, which will slowly start to creep in through the camera cut out

After realizing I dont need a bunch of cases like I used to do with past iPhones, I settled on 2. The Sena leather case in black and the standard Rhinoshield Solidsuit in black. The Sena as my standard everyday case and the Rhinoshield when I know I might need a little extra protection. If Apple would have done a line of leather cases for the XR I would have chosen that over the Sena but it doesn't look like that will ever be happening.

I’m really struggling to find a case I love for this phone. Speck presidio grip adds too much bulk.

ESR TPU case is perfect but gives zero drop protection.

Spigen has weird holes at the bottom that dirt would accumulate in. Spigen crystal glitter is okay but still a bit too bulky.

Was going to order the caudabe but I want to be able to see my blue phone.

I just want a clear case that doesn’t add a ton of bulk. Doesn’t get the awful rainbow effect, doesn’t feel like I’m holding a bar of wet soap but actually provides some drop protection.

My media devil screen protector is bubbling one side too. I’ve used them for years but this happens with the 8 protectors and now the Xr so time to look for another brand.

I got a Ringke & a ESR clear cases. Then I wandered thru the sunglasses section & got a colorful sleeve for my XR, fits perfectly. $2.50. Also got a bubble wrap envelope 97 cents. The sleeve & envelope are great while I search for the
perfect case.
o_O

Is this for real?

I also feel its a bit hard to find a case for the XR if we want to see the color. I have the Ringke Fusion I bought before the XR came out. It feels protective enough from drops, have good lip (with slightly top and bottom lip), and has raised corners on the bottom of the case. The case is grippy when my hands are dry..but slippery if my hands get wet.

I also prefer slimmer cases so ended up getting the Caudabe Sheath in black. The Sheath feels good in hand and I love it, but I'm not sure about the drop protection. But now I can't see the color of the phone..but its something I'm living with.

Good luck with your search! And post back here if you find something! :)

I have the white iPhone XR. You can't really see any of the color with the Caudabe Sheath case on.

I think for me I have found the 4 best cases out there for my black XR

-Sena Deen Leatherskin Snap On Case
-Rhinoshield Solidsuit plain solid black
-UAG Pathfinder
-Speck Presidio Grip

Returned the Ringke Fusion due to the clear back being a fingerprint magnet and the smoke black number looking purpleish outdoors with the phone on. The presidio glossy grip looks like a hot mess after a week despite the grips raising the rest of the case off the surface. And the Mujjo Full Leather Case is a nice case and feels good in the hands, but I like the metal buttons of the Sena along with the Sena's slightly tighter fit, bigger lip around the screen and the feel of the inside lining of the case. Sena was also about $5 or so cheaper as well.

Where did you buy the Sena Deen Case? Amazon? It says "Pre-order NOW" on their site. How is the quality? Fit, keys and the leather...

How is the Sena case holding up? Anyway you could post some pictures?

It’s probably a better solution than many of the really cheap cases out there :(
Carrying a bubble wrap envelope to protect your phone is far from a "solution". Having to open an envelope then take the phone out of a sunglasses sleeve to check a notification is as inefficient as I can imagine.

I bought the case directly from Sena when the XR came out last month. It is probably out of stock due to Black Friday. I don't use the case every day but it has held up well and somewhat still looks brand new. Case fits great, has nice lip protection and the buttons after a day broke in and are very responsive. Great alternative to Apple's leather case since they aren't likely going to release one.
